  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I got the nut half off and then the joint started turning. I can see the drive shaft driving me mad too as I can't lock the diff up FFS lol.

Dropped it of at the paint shop:) my black uk zed having nearly a full respray:hyper:

I would love a respray  Plenty of pics when its finished gray.

Me too, she's picked up a few battle scars over the last 5 years. Stone chips and the like

Not today but over the last couple of days I've been doing the final prep for an mot after an 'extensive amount of time' off the road!

I've done a fairly substantial amount of work during this time and the car now owes me an even more ridiculous amount if man hours!

Still, thankfully it sailed through its mot with no advisories and the chap that did the mot, along with some of his colleagues, all had a good look round and gave some very flattering compliments on the car and it's condition. :)

I have been enjoying the car for the last couple of days, it still feels very strong and everything mechanically seems to be performing as advertised even though it's been sat for some time, other than the aircon which needs servicing. It was the first drive since carrying out a few different upgrades, including some suspension changes and the car felt amazing to drive even without being setup professionally.

This will be a fairly short lived enjoyment as I'll be stripping it back down again soon to be shipped to custom exotics and given a nice fresh coat of paint.

Looking good Joel - one of my favourite Zeds on the forum, is that....

Me, nothing but the Sainsbury's run so far - but I'm off out to give it a wash in a moment. Using it this week has left it looking pretty grubby:shock:

Richard:biggrin:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Hope everyone's having a good top up of the fluids tonight. Important after a hot day like today ?

Today I did up the two little tow hook rings at the back of the Zed. A quick rub down to get rid of the rust, a sand with w'n'dry and then two coats of white primer.

Then two coats of matching silver paint and a quick spray of lacquer. Voila! Nice tow hooks!

My old girl needed her rear brakes replacing as they were all rusty and generally knackered. And I'd bought a big front brake kit at a bit of a bargain price so...

345mm Brembo discs up front and new OEM stuff at the back. As can plainly be seen, I decided to spruce up the calipers a little too... it's meant to be copper, but looks more like gold to my eyes...

I had to buy some 3mm spacers for the fronts as the calipers just caught on the inside of the spokes, but all is well now. Of course, not having an MOT at the moment is a bit of a pain... and I think I may have discovered a hole or two while I was under there today... :( :(

That's quick, hope your happy with it.

Very happy mate, thanks had some fun cutting the lower spoiler to fit itimage.jpg

Needs a little tidying but after 4 hours of free hand grinding its good for now.

Cheers mate
