  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Do we have any stand at japfest this year? Silverstone is around the corner and not heard or seen anything about it..

I used mine.....

Well, not just today but the whole weekend - we went on a little break to Cardiff. Julia comes to my car shows, so it was only fair that I went along to the Cardiff Flower Show with her. It was a good weekend too; weather was nice, I actually enjoyed the show - and Cardiff is a nice place to visit. Oh, and it was the first holiday in the Zed, since getting it back before Christmas. It's certainly good to be Zedding once more - we left home at 6.45 on Saturday morning and were safely parked in the city centre, sitting down for some tasty eggs benedict by 8.40... Gotta love the Zed; doing what it does best

...Zed-photos will follow shortly...

Nice one and look forward to the pics Richard. :thumbup1:

Today i fitted the proper front bumper ( well almost)

The previous aftermarket one wasnt attached by many bolts, so trying to work out what is missing

Does the undertray sit above or below the bumper? Presumably they join with self tapping screws? Both of them just have holes, should one of them have clip on screw hole things?

The attachment of the bracket stuck in the bumper to the bracket from the car, there seems to be a plastic clip, is this to take a self tapper , or a custom nissan one use plastic fixing?IMG_0575.jpg

I thought about the washers, but not convinced they do anything usefull so probably wont bother

Why do you store your car on end?

[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

i spent last year drilling out a ton of snapped bolts that hold the undertray on

Swapped out the Alcantara under dash panels for nice dark blue leather ones I got from a swb breaker recently. Unfortunately the door cards were series 1 so will have to find some faux leather in the same colour & retrim mine. Also removed the seats & gave them & the carpet a good clean.

Looking good Tom and where did you get the red stiched hand break handel ?

CZP, cut the old one off & the new one slides on. Wish I'd gone for the black ones now though with having the blue panels.

I have been busy these last couple of days.....

Yesterday, I passed 1,000 miles since the Zed arrived home from Dasstech. And after running a few errands, I gave the Zed a nice wash followed by a wipe-down with Auto Finesse Glisten; before putting it safely back in the garage.

Today, I fitted my brand new Nissan MAF - bought for a bargain price from Z1. I also sorted the intermittent horn problem (oo-er missus); turned out to be a bad earth, as the connectors had become a little corroded. I gave them a good clean and covered them in battery-terminal grease - hopefully that will do the job for a while:wink:

Lookinf fab Richard and love the new wheels. :thumbup1:

Thanks Gary!!

And whilst I did nothing Zed-related today, yesterday we went on a trip to Rousham near Bicester... Lovely place; and despite it being Easter Sunday, it was also very peaceful... Something to do with dogs and children not being admitted into their gardens...

I shall post some pictures tomorrow:cool:
