  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I drove mine today..................................First time since October last year.:innocent:

I decided last minute to go to the Three Sisters Track attack tomorro so I needed to put a few miles in the seat so I can readjust to the high revs, extreme noise, heat and generally harsh experience.

It put a smile on my face.

Them tintops will be hot in this weather Pete. :sweatdrop:

Oh Yes.!!

Especially on track cos you cant have windows open

No aircon of course.

No cold air at all really inside and a bare metal transmission tunnel right next to yer leg!:scared:

Rear screen refitted today as it had strangely lifted. Bodyshop had agreed to reimburse me even without asking. Top notch customer service.

That's now been done and the car is now in for a full alignment with a well reviewed chap in Bristol. He did mine a few years ago and it felt awesome. It's only out slightly despite a huge amount of suspension changes.

How the hell did I get this in the wrong forum!

Can a mod please shift it into the 'what did you do to your Z thread' please?

Huh?

Huh?

Your post that is bouncing around the forum "Rear screen refitted today as it had strangely lifted " lol

Oh I see. No it was not rust. It was because the rear screen was fitted too early after paint and it had taken some paint with it. Fortunately not visable.

Sat Jun 30. Left home at 8.00 for the drive up to Three Sisters Track near Wigan.

Arrived and bought three track sessions.

All good. Car performed well. the driver did too. Only one "Take it Easy" warning board shown after a partial off at the final 90 right.:scared:

Nobody saw the other "moment" I had on a tightening left. I have been "off" before at that particular bend.!!:whistling:

All in all a great day in perfect weather conditions with no dents to the car or the drivers pride.:biggrin:

One or two fellow drivers said some very nice things about my slicktop and how well it goes on track.

Thats always pleasing given the hundreds of hours I put in to making/building the car.

Been on track with Pete at a couple of events and can confirm he does drive it like he stole it.

Yup - seconded....

Thank you Bri, Richard and others who have clicked likes..

I find it very addictive. It is hard to explain that feeling of driving right on the edge of your own and the car's limits.

For me its the best "legal high" I can buy.

It is only possible on tracks nowadays. I built the car to have some motorsport fun so thats what I do.

Im not precious or protective about the car and Im not concerned about my own safety in such a strong well built car with good track safety gear fitted.

Here is a pic from today..................36509315_2112936815660624_3312861360924131328_n (2).jpg

Good man i will try get over to see you next time you go to 3 sisters buddy

Living the dream Pete.

Maybe so Stephen.

I have been blessed with good health so far in my retirement years so I intend to live life to the max while I can.

Here is a little vid a fellow track lad posted. You can see what a fun little track it is. The vid is not very interesting but watch it up to the 4 min mark when you will see me get past him and another car.
