  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Don't know if it's any help Howard but I've got a complete ABS unit here..

After replacing the rear bearing and going for a spin...... I still have a speed related rumbly / whine from the Z..... Another bearing, Brakes, Diff????

Now officially driving me mad..... Going to Jack her up and spin the wheels to see if I can find the problem..... AAAArrrrgggghhhhh....

Ohh and I broke my hand today as well as curbed one of the Z wheels...... first time I have ever done that to the Z.....

How the hell did you manage that Russ??:scared:

Probably drove too close to a curb! [emoji13]

Very funny Wiseguy:innocent: I meant how'd he break his hand :tt2:

How the hell did you manage that Russ??:scared:

Reversing without checking N/S wing mirror ..........

The broken hand was due to me taking a call on my mobile as I walked out of my office, someone knocked on the other door so I turned to see who it was and the wind caught the outside door..... slamming it into my hand.... broke the bone in hand that attaches to knuckle.... It now resides next to the knuckle and not attached...... doesn't hurt at all.... just aches.... but making it hard to get car ready for Sundays show.... lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Today I managed to find some time to track down the source of a slight knocking from the front drivers side suspension. I first noticed a very slight noise a few weeks ago but hadn't had the time to investigate, I initially suspected it was the exhaust knocking but I managed to isolate the noise the the front drivers side.

Up on the ramps and a good prod around revealed that the nut that mounts the drop link to my Stillen anti-roll bar had slightly loosened.

Ideally, I'll replace the nuts for locking nuts, but for now I took the nuts off from both sides, reinstalled them with some loctite 222 threadlock and torqued them back up. I then spun the car around and checked the rears for security which were fine.

I then took her for a spin out to prove the fix (which was now tip top) and nailed it through some bumpy A road country lanes, love this car, it really does pull like a train. #stockboost #9psiclub

Some piccies from my phone:

Great to hear she's running well Russ, any worthwhile pics??

Went to a local car show today. Weather was perfect. Got some nice comments about the Zed too.

Was it a good show Tom? I would of popped along but I needed to spend time with the wife and grandchildren as I was out all day yesterday:)

It was really good mate, lots of different types of cars, must have been around 200 cars there. Spoke to a guy off the forum who only lives round the corner. Will keep a look out for the next one & let you know.

Didn't do anything to the Z, but cleaned out the garage and organised parts and fittings......and finally put this up. Unfortunately the transformer has quit on me, so the neon illumination won't turn on, but I'll sort that out another time and wire it directly into the garage opener!

Why the hell is it upside down!? It's the right way round on my phone!

iPhone syndrome i suspect

Pesky Apple EXIF tags Simon.

I'm guessing the phone itself was upside down and the Apple software outorotated it when viewing.

Unfortunately, Wndows doesn't recognise this tag and therefore displays the picture upside down.

A modern day example of super powers not collaborating.

Yup, I've now realised if I take the photo with the volume button down it works fine.
