  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I've just noticed your original clocks and the mileage, your Z has only done 47,000km? When I swapped mine out for a UK cluster, I clocked the odometer to match the mileage in miles. You should do it before the next MOT really as otherwise the cars history will start to look sketchy! I took date stamped photos of the 2 clusters next to each other in the car, before and after for my history documentation.

I carried out a history check before i purchased the car, which revealed that the clocks had already been changed a few years back. Because of this, and a lack of documentation, the car's true mileage is unknown.

I've made a note of what was showing on the JDM clocks before they were removed, as well as what was on the UK clocks when they were installed. That's for my benefit more than anything else. Given the car's condition, the fact that it's an NA Auto, and it has been an insurance write off (thanks to my little mishap earlier this year) I'm not worried about the resell value or how the MOT history will look to a perspective buyer. My plan is to keep the car for as long as possible before it get to the point where it is no longer economical to keep it on the road.

Hopefully by that point i'll have a TT that will benefit from an NA rear diff and UK clocks. :whistling:

I have been useing my Z for 2 and a half weeks, so nice to drive it always a shame to put it away, but can't afford it as an every day car.

Lucky the Jag car cover fits perfectly on the Z as well.

Having seen these 'expensive apparently' brackets fitted and commenting i have done something about me not having !!

Got myself some steel, aherm....what i mean is some shed door hinges, got these cos they'd be easy to bend but more importantly they were 99p each !!

Lightweight sport version brackets these are as well.......hence the need for the holes, no loss in strength you see .

Some of the more alert members out there will notice how i have harnessed these said holes - hope you all saw what i did there :sneaky2:.

How much were the mirror control unit and radio surround from Nissan, if you don't mind me asking?

Mirror control unit came from a friend who knows someone in Japan that had access to a few new ones. About £60 for that. The centre panel is around £120, I bought the screw covers and screw panel which pushed it to about £160

Better than looking sad outside covered in shite. :D

Yep mines still in the cold on jackstands and ramps :crying:

You hang yours on the wall? Neat idea for space saving!

LOL.......

But yes, they do look a little sad being tucked away....

Sunday before last, I took mine for a blast down the M4 to visit the Bath Christmas Market. And I have been using it the on the odd day I have ventured out since - why not; be rude not to!!

But Si is right; the poor Zed is looking damn dirty now - so I will have to give it a good clean on Saturday I reckon:wink:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

What's the blank spot for on the wing mirror controls Si?

What's the blank spot for on the wing mirror controls Si?

US models had electronically dampened suspension. So you could change the stiffness from touring to sport

What skirts are they Art?

Today I gave my Zed a good clean and then parked it back in the garage......

.....I have driven around 600 miles in it over the last couple of weeks, so it was looking pretty filthy. Still, it's back to its shiny blue self once more - and will be under its cover in a couple of days. I thought I'd let it dry our properly first...
