  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I'm looking for the scarring, but I just can't see it....

Wow, that's changed a lot. Looks awesome

Do you want to come to the SE end of year meet? Love to see it in person

those are sexy! was wanting a set for mine but... money.... :crying:

Removed this immaculate 96 dash from a breaker at Jimmer's. Surprisingly, this is one of the easiest jobs to do on a Z! Took me about half an hour!

My dash is fairly good, but this one is near perfect.

I thought it was going to be really difficult too but removing the dash really doesn't take that long.

Is this going in your car?

Yeah it is. Aiming for a near-perfect interior. Got some even better front seats too, one of which is going to have some donor panels and new foam inserts.

NemesizX came over with a boot full of spanners today, 4 hours later after much banter whilst changing the steering rack bushes, he did it, both of us crawling under the motor was a sight ! Thanks Paul, really appreciate your time and dedication to keeping us on the road, couldn't have done it without your help and time man, let's hope she gets through the MOT now!,,

Oh, and I got a cool gift as well, cheers mate!

You're welcome BedZee, thoroughly enjoyed the day mate.

To be honest, I was chuffed you were confident enough to let me get my spanners out on your z.

Had to laugh at the thought of what we looked like, a z with four legs sticking out from under it..

I had a great day anyway and just glad you've got the car ready to go again. Have to get out for a drive out soon. Maybe a Sunday run out to old warden or something?

I'll give you a bell after Wednesday evening and see how you got on..

Attempted a coolant flush...where are the engine drain plugs? FSM isn't helpful.

Roughly half new coolant now anyway.

I'm sure there's a plug to drain on the bottom drivers side of the rad and a plug to expel air from the rad in the driver side top corner.. Looks like a big plastic Phillips screw head

I'm not sure if there is a plug on the engine itself. If not, fill up wit coolant run the engine a while to move the coolant around the system and the drain the rad again. With some luck you'll be draining *some* of the coolant that was in the engine you couldn't get to..

I think there are kits you can get to suck out the coolant in the system? Not sure though never used one.

There are drain plugs on the block, next to the engine mount on each side. Problem is, I can't find them. The FSM makes it look easy!
