  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

New front tyres for me today, lovely Michelin Pilot Sport 4's.

The Pirellis still had decent tread but being 7 years old, time to go.

Lovely jubbly! Out of curiosity, where will you be driving her in Italy and France?

We drive through the top of France past Reims and Nancy to Mulhouse on the Swiss border. From there into Switzerland pass Olten on our way to Lake Lucerne. Next day we leave Lucerne and head for the Stelvio Pass, over the mountains and arrive at Lake Como.

From Como to Venice we then back track through Tuscany via Milan and pick up the Italian coast road and make our way to French Menton. Next a lap or two in Monaco followed by a traffic jam or two in Cannes. Big slog from there to Limoges and finally Rouen before heading home.

Done the same trip 4 years ago and it was fantastic. Nothing booked other than our first night!! Love it.

I like the gaiter but how do you know what gear you are in?

Yeah, i would have no idea. For both meanings of it :sweatdrop:

So my new slicktop project arrived today... needs a good bath and a strip down but will soon be built back up with the best bits I have in the stores and is going black once I have all the body repairs done!

Baz, you really do love a project don't you! I wouldn't know where to start on that one?

Good on ya though, I like to see a Z that's been left for dead, rise from the Ashes... Good luck with her mate..

On another note, I thought I might give you a sneak peek at Parton my engine dressing.. It's all gonna come together at once and probably not that long from now..

I picked this little lot up from the coating workshop a few days ago..

I can see it coming together now..

Just make sure that when you clean all that moss and mildew from it, you destroy those nasty cheap looking ebay tail lights!

Ey ey ey, best aftermarket lights going those. I actually wouldn't swap mine for 99 specs.

LOL, I struggled. I know Chris who owns leatherwheels.com and he made an auto gaiter for a friend of mine out in Arkansas - it took a while, but managed to get used to it!

I agree, too shiny and I don't like the large square prism glass. But each to their own, and definitely looks better than drab tango.

You sir are the wrongun, that's a point of documented fact.

I think you're actually a little out of touch with that. I might be a wrong-un, but I talk from general consensus. :p

Originals actually look better. They fit nicely for a start, then there's the issue of the size of the lenses which doesn't match the rest of the centre section - mind you, nor does the rest of it.

What ever... The cosmetic crap is becoming less important by the day for me. If the right swap came my way I might swap them for stockers plus whatever it was I wanted just for orginality. Hell I'd run stock wheels if the damn things fitted. I like the stock car, it just needs pushing out and down.

I'm still looking at getting some stock wheels remanufactured into 3-peice wheels at some point. That'll project has taken a back burner whilst my house has been built.

Yeah, they're lovely.

This is what I have planned one day! I'll probably buy another Z32 in the next 12 months to have over in the US and will get some of these made up for them. There's a company in Poland that do incredible conversions on OEM wheels.

What size? I think 16" (stock) look too small for my liking

If you convert them to 3-peice wheels, it'll turn the 16" into an 18". Only the face from the stock wheel will be used and they'll be mounted onto a new large barrel. The rest will be machined off. For example, the wheel centres of my BBS LMs are about 17", whereas the true size of the wheel is 19" if you include the barrel. This is common on all modular wheel systems.
