Started by wire brush on drill over front N/S floorpan and found a cover up job over accident damage...... the floorpan had been badly buckled, outer sill replaced, front seat mount replaced and all covered with filler, seam sealer and tons of underseal....

After cleaning most of the muck off I found 3 tears in the floor, 2 holes in the bottom of the sill where it meets the floorpan, the jacking point is half rusted away and the front corner where the floorpan meets the front bulkhead and sill has rotted away.....

Nice upgrade :thumbup: and sounds familiar.:biggrin:

I wondered who was going to be the first one to point that out, and the other problem with the picture is....

Odd wheel nut? :lol: :lol:

I stripped what I could from both subframes (plan to use the best parts), which took way longer than I thought it should!

I noticed that these arms have webs, on the 92 model, yet non on the earlier model (G reg 90 or 91?).

Which would you use in your rebuild?

Yeah later ones are webbed for lateral strength early ones fold up in a side impact. Are they both the same length, look different there.

They are the same length, must just be the pic. As I'm not planning any side impacts I think I'll go with the non-webbed less corroded ones! :)

Using the "How To" on here, I've detango'd my rear lights. :)

What a nightmare job!! I'm just gonna buy some crystal rears in the future!!

I'll put you all out of your misery before I cause this thread to be full of gumph! The hood bumpers were replaced! Makes a big difference eh?!

Anticlimax?

See, I told you!!! :rofl::rofl:
