  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Thanks All, Paul, Ali, great advice and the photos giving me a good example. I'm going to have a think, I already have chrome water pipes and would like to make the bay look cooler ( if that's possible) but don't wanna go overboard. I guess if go for the plenum, I've gotta go a lot further to make it all fit in. So, on that note, I'm gonna mull it over :-) will keep you posted, and thanks again everyone.

Chris, if you go on Google and search nissan 300zx engine bay you will get hundreds of images of 300 engine bays done up in different ways.. Have a look through them and you cam get an idea what works for you.

My plenum is gold, rocker covers are body colour candy red, coil brackets body red, gold hard pipes with red silicone joiners, power steering pot gold, plenum balance tube body red and I'll be having the fan shroud done in red carbon along with the cam covers and the throttle cover..

When it's finished it should look lovely.. Only got the plenum and hard pipes done so far but as soon as everything's done, I'm off to get it all put together at once along with anything else that needs doing..

Spent most of the weekend working on the Zed.

After recently sorting out my starting issues (solenoid packed up) the battery finally gave up so off to Eurocar parts for a new one.image.jpg[/ATTACH]

After offering up my Twinz bumper I need to tweak the IC as the my foul slighlty on the inside of the bumper. Pictures to follow.

Had a delivery from Speciality Z on Friday, so finally got round to fitting new re circ valves.

$235 plus shipping, although Nissan only have the right hand ones available. This didn't matter for me, as I'm running the larger intake piping and they are held very stable with the silicone hoses. I had to cut them down as well to cut off the elbow image.jpg

Goodness...............where did you attach the selfie stick .

Ha ha,

My missus was driving the daily next to me and my son took the photo, I was smiling like this all the way up, beautiful day, car was running sweet and I'm off to see the wizard of zed, what's not to smile at :-)

Fit the new 99 spec lights build by Andy (phutumsch) last week. Absolutely spot on job and look brilliant I think!

Also fit the new bilstien shocks thinking they would lower it by an inch but it Is exactly the same haha. Nice ride quality though! :D

A few years ago i foolishly removed my door glass as they were scratched and got some bronze ones :helpsmilie:.

The bronze ones are good but not mint, it is quite blatantly obvious i'm going to have to do something with the scratches and re fit the blue.

Good blinking job i didn't throw away :smash:.

It makes a big difference, I changed mine couple months back and matches it much better.

Blue-tint glass is one of the best overall visual mods you can do to your car (unless it already came with it). Makes the car look so much more clean and crisp.

Get yourself some Micromesh™, a brilliant product that will polish out scratches in almost anything including glass. I would get the original American product, use it all the time at work.

When Mondo came round last week he was calling me all kinds of names because my slicktop has blue glass!

I'll give you the best tip you'll ever get for removing scratches from glass... Hobrite.. It's a cleaner/Polish for glass top oven hobs and it'll take scratches out of the glass and Polish it to a mirror finish..

Give it a try on a test area and compare the difference, I think you'll be amazed!

Great for reviving headlights too..

Lol, funnily enough I've treated it with what they use to treat ships hulls with... Strange thing is there is no sign of corrosion on the outside and the sills are really solid.. I removed some epoxy filler from the arch though so at some point moisture has gotten in through there... Was not expecting it to be this bad!

The best stuff you can possibly get is Ceriglass. It's what the pros use. I've used it and it's amazing. Invest in some.

Appreciate that Simon and the others put up.........but it says fine to medium scratches, i'd consider mine worse than this for when the window has gone up and down.

They need a full going over before i refit but pennies spent in this area will be well worth it.

Collected mine from the garage this afternoon - with a new MOT (no advisories - and a glowing bill of health from the technicians); a fresh sump full of Castrol's 5w40 fully synth; a brand new Nissan oil filter; some new NGK plugs and fresh coolant.......

All ready for another year's zedding....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
