  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

IMO I prefer it without the groove at all, makes the body smoother.

Makes the car look like a blancmange mould. I've seen it done before on a stock bodied car and it does not look good AT ALL. It's a key part of the design of the car and helps give the rear end a graceful kick.

OK mate, I've never really seen one without them, but in my mind I thought it would look nice.

I've seen a few dark (mostly LP2) ones with the strip in white. Not sure how I feel about it, or if it's original.

Don't often agree with si, but the 300 does look odd without them,

Went to a classic car meet at Benington and met a fellow Zed club member, Jason, with his first car :-) Nice one mate!

Sorry ! it's Benington, not Beddington ,

Went digging in the back... I now have sound to one rear speaker but I must be missing an amp or something as they can't manage much volume. To be continued.

Nice job with the ABS pump insulation, asshole :\

IMAG0061.jpg

Yes, for service access to the ABS unit's bleed nipples. Although yours looks to be the type that Nissan used

which didn't come with them. The insulation on mine is the same. You should have a plastic trim cover that

hides all that.

Well TIL. Looks fairly quick to remove the cover so I don't see why they would do that.

I've binned that insulation but, just left the hard cover in place as I had to keep taking the spare out etc when I wanted to bleed the system. Just seemed like an unnecessary faff.

Went to Phutumsch's today and got my lights upgraded! Also lit up the footwells in red:)

Big thanks to Andy for a day of tinkering and working his magic with the conversion and thanks to Tom for supplying the lights

What happened to the love for the miata :(

On another note I put the engine cover in, replaced the scuttle panel and sprayed the rear perspex bar black.

Looks great Dave! Ian's 99spec bumper looks good too

Who put the footwell lighting in if u don't mind me asking?

Could u inform me what lighting & fixings were used?

I take it the +give feed was taken from the internal lighting?

It looks good!

They are just some red led strips secured under the dash. They are connected to the relay which is located in the trim behind the passenger chair. They come on when I unlock the car with the fob or when the doors/boot is opened. They do look nice, I can get you some pics later if needed?

Yes please so I can find the relay behind my seat.

Mine has not got a remote just key entry & is a 1991 import!

Nice day out in Wales dropping my front bumper with stillen lip & nose panel off with Keith for spraying. Also fitted chrome bonnet strut.

Detailed the car today in its many processes hopefully will have time to finish it off tomorrow.

I forget how therapeutic it is but I got this far today!
