  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

New number plates!? :p :)

Funny you should say that but no  I will be changing my "showplates" as they are starting to fade now after years of use and yes the rising sun is going into the sunset never to be seen again. So new design with no badges coming up Si and as for whats in the the parcel (from Zcenter) I will put a pic up later of it fitted.

Just ordered Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, Full bolt kit for everything (wings, cambelt covers, coilpacks etc) plus ALL engine pipes and vac hoses. Also bought myself a little surprise:w00t: I'll tell you more about that when it arrives:w00t:

Can you take a pic further back to see the whole engine bay please??

Washed Zeb ready for Trentham. Just need to put a couple of coats of wax on now if the weather holds

I've been trying out Autobrite Directs line of products and have to say they are pretty good so far.

Used their Snow foam , wheel cleaner, leather cleaner and a Hell Shine Sythe sheepskin wash pad that's awesome to use.

Round 2 is using Hell shine restore polish than a Cherry Glaze top wax.

Holy Crap!! that's a lot of foam!! How long does it take you from start to finish Ian??

Thanks for those pics Gary, it looks really well.

I had my Z booked in for Monday week but there's a bit of a delay on all the hoses I've ordered, so the whole order should be here in 3-4 weeks. Car will have the engine bay painted when the engine gets pulled.

What way/colour should I do the bay, Any thoughts??

Gloss or Satin.. Pearl Black / Satin Black or a Dark Grey / Gunmetal.??

The car will eventually be a Deep Blue but I can't afford to get it running and do a full respray, hence doing just the engine bay for this year.

I give the car a good covering of snow foam and let it sit for 20 mins. The foam doesn't break down quick like cheap stuff so what on the floor makes it look like I've used loads when I haven't. Takes me about an hour to wash from start to finish but that includes soak time for wheel treatment and snow foam. And I'm not the quickest around the car coz of bad knees

My white TT got a bit horny the day as managed to get a horn for her then she lit up with excitement as managed to get side lights wired up and found the issues that stopped them working even the side bumper lights so just need to get the number plate lights as connectors are wrecked and run a feed for the fog light then mot. ( still have a P.A.S leak bad one lol)

Where do your bonnet stay clips go?

The only place they can go is one on the plastic fan shroud but dont like that idea so thinking of removing the bonnet stay and fitting a bonnet struts like Mondo

Collected my brand new early style headlights today! They make me moist! These were discontinued for many years and this last 'known' new set are now mine! I've been bugging the seller for YEARS for these!

Mine are in pretty good shape, but they aren't new, these look fresh, crisp and lovely with really bright and clean reflectors! Yum!image.jpg

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

My power steering pump started to leak

Finally got my power steering pump off!image.jpg

I took the belt off & to my surprise or horror! the wheel of the pump pulled out & came off!!

image.jpg

My new pump arrives Monday.

To my surprise my local Nissan dealer had the copper rings large & small for the pipe fittings!

I was asking how long it takes you to do the whole process from washing to waxing and polishing.... or polishing and then waxing...I don't know which way round is best
