  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Not done anything to the zed but I have extended the carport where it lives by 2m. Don't want the weather getting on it.

Managed to get an hour spare and dropped in the new Bosch S4 battery.

Fired up instantly after sitting in a garage since October.

Battery tray has somehow broken loose though, so will have to sort that out. I'm hoping to have a few hours give her a once over on Friday and may even tax it.

Yesterday I fitted a new powersteering pump and today I filled her up with oil. Then got it cleanex as it has been sitting on the driveway for a a month and half.

I had to Jump start the car I really recommend the ventura powerbank. Its an excellent bit of kit to have in your car.

It's a shame you can't borrow that 99 spec bumper baz, looks better. Still a great looking car though, the wheels you've fitted suit it far better.

Cheers mate it may well end up with a 99 spec bumper later in the year, the scarab doesn't fit too well, need to make some sort of supports for the sides.

I've toyed with that bumper myself a few times as it can look good, some really good looking zeds have them, but I have two issues I just can't get past. The front end is squared off by it making it look a bit blunt, so it doesn't flow and the lack of a swadge line drums in the fact that it isn't original. It's very similar front end in to a 99 but the 99 just fits so much nicer. Also I'm still a little terrified that a fibreglass bumper will end in disaster.

lastnight - 11pm....

Just got in from the pitch black and cold after wiring the rear LED fog and Reversing light units up at last....

The clear centre section is now backlit white when in reverse and is clearer and brighter than the old bulbs.....

They then turn a lovely Bright RED when fog lights are on using LED 385 bulb replacements in the standard reversing bulb holders.....

Tomorrow is solder in the connections, the Relay to cut the Fog light power supply when reverse is selected, the fog light switching relay and the RED EL 300zx light up section........

(fell asleep on keyboard and forgot to hit the post button......lol)

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I've just fitted a bonnet strut in half an hour!

If you put the small arm into the body you don't have to use a hacksaw!

Just bought myself a brand new Nardi steering wheel too! :)

Just spent all afternoon removing some horrible window tint from the rear screen. Took me best part of three hours, and i know my back is going to hurt tomorow. But now i can see out the back.
