  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I didn't mean Z specifically. Many cheap and old cars only display MPH.

As do many new cars too....!

My SLC only has MPH on the dial - as does Julia's Evoque - but the Benz does have a small digital read-out in km/h. Julia's car also has a digital speed indictor, it is also set to read MPH; although I believe it can be changed to km/h in a sub-menu somewhere....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yesterday, I gave my Zed a good wash - and then today I took it for a nice trip down to the New Forest....

....Ending up in Buckler's Hard

T'was a good day out....

Another day and another little something done on the Z from me [emoji41]

I'm currently waiting for the crush washers to arrive for the rocker covers so I can crack on with building this back together, so today I got my ESDS strap on to replace my incompatible SE chip. It felt good removing this chip and slipping in the replacement from SpecialtyZ, I'm glad that I finally have an eprom which is properly matched to the setup I have. It's certainly the best I'll get without having the car custom mapped at Protuner, but that's a story for another thread!

I also decided to test fit the plenum with the new injectors in. As per Jimmer's advice, the #1 requires some material removing from the web as the connector will not go on. I've marked it all up now ready for the dremel.

His signature is very much like his designs, very stylish indeed.

As you say Andrew, a very nice addition to your Zed.

Nice one Si':thumbup1:

Simon very kindly dropped off the Toshio Yamashita (Yama san) signed centre arm rest underside today. Having travelled all the

way to ZCON in the US, here it is back in situ - really chuffed to bits. Lovely addition to the car - thanks again Simon.

Very nice Andrew. A great idea and always something to cherish.

Joel, Will you make Coventry?

Seems like a lot still to do in such a relatively short period of time.

I have all the bits to rebuild now (I hope!) so it'll come together pretty quickly when I find the time to tackle it, however I've not put my name down for Coventry this year as I couldn't get the time off work unfortunately. [emoji17]

... That's a shame Joel, I was looking forward to meeting you up with you again.

I'll be at Beaulieu that's for sure. I'll be down there Friday Saturday and Sunday this year. [emoji41]

I had already booked a shift off work for Simply Japanese and to incorporate a mini family holiday down there. I then have the next shift off for a week in Cornwall. In order to attend the AGM, I would've had to take half of the shift before off as it falls between my 2 nights and I couldn't get that time off. [emoji17]

You need to get your name down for Beaulieu Dave, then we can have a good catch up [emoji106]

I know the dates are around somewhere, but when is it?

Last year it clashed with my annual holiday.

Looks much better, I do think losing the tub and having a glass screen back in will further improve it.

thanks mate I know what you mean, but looking at it in the flesh is better than the pics. But I do have a Minter of a tailgate to go on its hiding in a garage for a wee bit longer till the car is ready.. slow progress..
