  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

There seems to be an obsession with food occurring! Lol

Went for a drive to Pyrford yesterday for an Anniversary lunch with the Mrs....it was also the inaugural trip for the Z after 12 months or so of a 'gradual' OEM+ renovation....she performed perfectly (the Z that is!)....and it was great to get the Z out for a drive in the sunshine.

From the sorry looking 1990 TT delivered on a low loader (due to a shot gearbox) back in May 2015....I think she has come a long way!

She does look really clean now you've had her resprayed.

Is your passport in date an have you had your shots?

Woke up early for a blood test this morning and as the sun was shining I decided to take a trip to B&Q for some new sanding pads for my detail sander.

Decided that sleep is over rated..

So got on with some more work on my speaker pods..

They're really starting to take shape, but not even half way there yet.

No steak or pasties in sight either! DSC_0324.jpg

Where are you going with your rear harness staps??

Had planned to use the bar that's not currently attached in the rear picture, needs welding in the correct place, unless you have any recommendations?

Just measure the distance back from the back of the seat to check you have enough length. It "appears" very close to the seat back in the pic.

Also check carefully and measure the downward angle that the belts will take.

I think the reccomended agle is a maximum of 20 degrees from the horizontal.

Its all to do with having the correct geometry to alow a "Hans" unit to be fitted and work correctly.

Are you going to put the interior trims back in ?

Sweet ride!!! You need a custom gear shift knob cover and leather shift boot cover to finish off the beautiful interior!!! And a aftermarket exhaust or Magnaflow 14805 or 14807 mufflers, or whatever muffler you want to give the rear end some eye candy

Edited by The_Ikon

I'm going to try to refit the interior, will have to modify a couple of panels but should be ok.

Are you leaving the cage gloss black or painting it in a satin black to tie in with the interior?? Just a thought :thumbup1:, I think it might look better in a Matt/Satin or even a stippled black??

Within a few weeks of my new fibreglass spoiler being fitted, it turned out to have some air bubbles within the weave which caused it to blister! So I dropped it back off at Keith's and let him work his magic on it last week.

Went to pick it up today and I have to say he's done a brilliant job. He touched up a few bits whilst it was there and even gave it a full polish!

Thanks Keith:)
