  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

As much as it pains me to say this, our FunkySi can knock the bolded section out of the park himself when he chooses to!

With regards to the "funky" comment; I'm struggling to see why anyone would take it as being derogatory - it is indeed a very funky rear panel now and it's great that Andy's brought an original Altia one back to life.

Ali's far from being the only person on here to state that something may not be to his taste. Hell, I've done it plenty of times myself! It's possibly just more noticable from him because he's on here 24/7....!

Anyhoo, Phutumsch and Pebkau: explain your usernames please!

I actually just laughed on my own as I read this

1) I ran Transmission test.

2) I jacked her up and sat her on wooden blocks.

3) I dropped the transmission fluid followed by the transmission sump.

4) I cleaned filter and replaced o'ring.

5) refitted sump and started to refill with fresh fluid.

Now sitting here contemplating colour options for respray........... Stay same colour or complete change??

Black or Red are preferred options........ lol

LP2 from me!

Annnnnnd I'm home! :)

I left my house at 6am yesterday morning headed straight for PowerZed in Bristol to get my car serviced and a general health check of the engine and car. Jimmer is a top bloke, had a good laugh and learnt lots of things about my car. After a few hours with Jim, we were all done and I was back on the road heading for Turbonoz in Nottingham to have my car custom mapped by Noel. Noel then spent most of the night and today tweeking here and there and making my car the best it can be in its current state with its current mods. The end result is a whopping 427bhp with 444lbs/ft of Torque!!! Noel you are a mapping genius! The car is totally transformed. That was the best 200 miles home I've ever driven. :thumbup1:

Thank you both very much, was 36 hours and 500 miles well spent :)

Looking neat, though where is 427hp coming from from what looks like a stock engine! bigger turbos, exhaust intake?

Hoped you wished Jimmer a HB and be cool to get to know you sometime later this month/next month at a meet if you are willing? I could try and arrange one if you want.

Great result for you matey:punk:, would love to be able to just get in the car and drive down to these people without having to spend a fortune on ferry crossings, hopefully one day soon:thumbup1:

Yet again I've done nothing today to my black UK zed but did buy a rust free silver Jap TT with no engine :huh:Anyone know where I can buy and have fitted an engine lol

Yeah mate, it was actually in elmsett.I was a bit dubious until I saw the condition of it but with a new engine and a few other parts it will be an absolute stunner!!

Meets are always tricky for me mate. Work long hours Monday to Friday and having 5 kids between me and my Mrs, our weekends are pretty full too!!

You underestimate this engine ;)

I have some mods, Fmic, full stainless decat exhaust, dual mushroom intake, but in Noels words, it's just an engine that makes good power. :)

I'm very happy with it now, see no need for any power enhancing mods any time soon.

It's a completely different animal from the car it was a day ago.

Mine was claimed 450hp but i never believed it.

Shame about that, if you happen to see one arranged and are free that day, be sure to come down for an hour or two :)

Yeah will do.

as for your bhp, only one way to find out for sure, dyno :thumbup1:

The boost controller has been disconnected and is sitting on my desk, so that needs to go back on and then a trip to noz :P

Did you get this off Jay by any chance? If I remember correctly it was a very clean Zed!

Can't remember what his name was.he said he's had it for ages but has done nothing with it and has never had it on the road since he bought it.

It is extremely clean and rust free! Needs a new drivers door due to some thieving ****, new bumpers and spoiler, engine obviously  and just general tidying.

The speedo reads around 55000 km which is ridiculously low.

Should be an easy project, hoping to send it straight off for an engine and then hopefully off to bodymech to get it looking as mint as possible.

You're an addict dave! There's no saving you now is there! Lol..

I looked at the advert for that too, I've been looking for a donor car to strip. Spent so much recently though that I can't afford it at the mo.
