  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Wel done a tiny wee job on the white TT replaced my rear number plate lights from a donor car of WAIT!! Nissan micra k11 series holders and bulb pins better than what was on the zed, and the bulb covers are a lot clearer, I know people have led and others but if you just want a quick £5.00 fix, tried to upload foties but my iPhone won't let me for some reason.

And I got the vert ready for mot on Wednesday aswell been steady work at them.

Went up to the garage this evening and pulled out my 99 Spec headlights, took the metal parts and rubber seals off them and gave them a good clean!! Ready to go to Andy tomorrow for the Phutumsch treatment

Phutumsch did his with '89 spec just so you know. it doesnt look like the halo will fit flat on the 99 as the high beams are slanted. I maybe wrong, just a heads up :thumbup1:

Phutumsch has done plenty of mods on these 99 Spec inserts as well, so there's no uncharted territory for him or Richie here.

Sometimes you just have to trust in the folk who've been around much longer than you have.... ;)

I understand that, its just that i couldnt see the halos fitting on the '99 spec as they would just point upwards :)

Ali, if you go onto Youtube and type in "Phutumsch" you will see a load of videos of both Headlight and rear light conversions that Andy has done, I've the utmost confidence in his abilities or I wouldn't be entrusting these extremely expensive lights and panels to him:thumbup: I have to say that from the moment I PM'd Andy, I have received both pics and explanations of what the whole process entails and my mind is totally at ease:yes:. After all... You don't get a Trader status that people trust by doing dodgy or shoddy work. A lot of guys on here have used Andy and I think I can safely say that the man has a 100% customer satisfaction rating:thumbup:

Look we all know you're eager and that's to be commended:thumbup1: For a 16 yr old to own not one, but two Z's is extremely ambitious:scared: but you need to tone it down on some of your comments:innocent: I'm not having a go at you matey, it's just that you are trying waaaay too hard to be the guy that gives advice when you should be watching and learning from some of the more knowledgeable lads on here:thumbup1: This Club is excellent when it comes to getting advice, it's a place to have a bit of banter and craic, so relax and try to just enjoy everything the club has to offer without stepping on peoples toes (as I fear you may be starting to.) :thumbup1:

I think he did Lee's (Jaikai's) also:thumbup1: You able to band up a night time pic Tom?? He's also done his own.

Ok I know it wasn't strictly speaking today, but here is the videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCrYnYB40xg&feature=em-share_video_user for the light painting of my car the other night.

Needs more light on that roof-scoop, I reckon... ;)

Bloody hell that was quick it's normally a few minutes before you're rude about my scoop!

Although I think 'tone down some of the comments' is a bit harsh, since I've said nothing offensive at all.

Mos of the time I am questioning if its thrle right thing to do (I.e. seeing how they would fit on '99 spec instead of '89s). I don't really try to give advice to other people, I'm just that scrape that asks questions for my own good. :)

It's all in the way you say it Ali

I got caught when I first was on here, I made a few comments I thought were funny, which probably would have been had they had been spoken, but the written word is different.

There are no inflections or body language to go with it.

"Phutumsch did his with '89 spec just so you know. it doesnt look like the halo will fit flat on the 99 as the high beams are slanted. I maybe wrong, just a heads up"

"I've seen Phutumsch do it with 89 spec lights. It doesn't look like the halo will fit on the 99 spec to me. How does he manage that trick then?"

Same statement written two different ways one runs the risk of stepping on people toes and the other will get you some interesting info you didn't know.

I think most people on here are impressed by your age and determination. I know I am and I wish I'd bought a car at 16 to restore.

It was me that said you need to join the forum when I sold you the car.

Everybody on here wants to help everyone else in a shared interest and that is all that comment is. Just trying to help you not wind people up by accident.

Gaz had a similar conversation with me when I managed to get both my feet in my mouth at the same time.

Keep asking but read everything before you post it, just in case.

:thumbup1:

As stated, I wasn't having a "Go" at you Ali, it was just a bit of advice. You come across as "trying too hard". You will settle in, just give it some time mate:thumbup1:. People will get used to your online personality and it will all fall into place  As Pebkau said, you were coming across more as "telling" than "asking", As I've said, I personally don't mind, it's just a bit of friendly advice :thumbup1:

I think he did Lee's (Jaikai's) also:thumbup1: You able to band up a night time pic Tom?? He's also done his own.

This is the best I could get.

Ha!! very good!! Well my lights got shipped off to Andy this afternoon, so I'll update you on them when they return:punk: Started pricing up tyres also today:thumbup1:

Few bits arrived by courier today... Took three days to get from Georgia USA to Dublin and 6 days to go 50 miles from Dublin To Carlow!!! They actually drove through Carlow to drop it at their Kilkenny depot, realised it was the wrong depot and drove back through Carlow to return it to the Dublin depot, Only in Ireland!

After seeing Baz's car, I said I'd try and get one of these also:thumbup1:

Sounds about right! Are those full side markers or just the lenses?

Just the lenses so mine should still light up :thumbup1:

I actually have a second pair if you're interested:whistling:

Depends what exactly you have! I'd be interested in a pair of clear or red ones, including housing, with the bulb socket drilled through. Too messy of a job to try and cut it.
