  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

good luck. Si but personally i think your pushing it, and the paint might be hard enough to flat and polish the next day , but its still going to be prone to damage for about a mounth, good luck anyway. im just gutted that im missing this one.

whats is happening saturday?

It's going to be pushing it to get that thing back together for Saturday morning buddy!

I gotta try though chaps! You also need to bear in mind that I can strip all that has been stripped in about half a day (I know the fittings on these cars inside out). I'll have more time to rebuild it. I think it's doable. I have everything laid out logistically in a friend's garage, so it'll all go back in with no fuss.

If i were closer Si i'd offer a hand but i'll be doing some last minute jobs on mine Saturday morning to try and get it all together for Cov.

Best of luck mate! :)

Thanks for the offer mate! I am 'fairly' confident to have finished it. Don't expect the finished article though. It'll likely need wet sanding again to achieve the high quality final finish that I desire, but it should be pretty much complete. :)

Everyone moans that the door glass is a pita to remove and refit for example, I can do it in about 5 minutes including alignment, it's so easy. I find the most time consuming part of the Z is actually the front bumper....if you're doing it with all the wheel arch liners, under tray and assortment of OEM fixings.

After the V8 i had that thing together and apart more than katy prices legs - i could get the engine out in under 30 minutes once the hoist was in place (bloody thing!)

I'm sure you'll do it mate :)

Heading down to the paint shop in a while. They're doing the shuts right now and will mount the doors and filler cap to do the main structure of the car. If I can, I'll take some more piccies.

Haha! Something like that. I've just returned from the paint shop and the car has been painted, well, what they could fit in their oven anyhow! From the tiny little bits I could see, it looked FRESH and CRISP! I went for a slight colour change too! ;)

Haha did you get my pm bud

Door teaser! It's so darn bright! This is straight out of the gun, it requires wet sanding and polishing. The pearl is causing that light diffusion. It's extremely vivid in person.

Wing; again, straight from the gun. Photos actually look like shit. I'll try and take some better ones tomorrow!

Took mine for Mot today and????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

IT PASSED:clap: Just need to get tracking done before Coventry, and try and put on another 9000 miles this year

Looking very nice Si!

Hope to see it in the flesh Saturday if all goes well.

So long as you don't park next to mine.

I drove to work in my Z ......... did a 9.25 hour shift and then drove home with a grin on my face after leaving 2 plonkers in a flashy Audi standing after they sat at lights making comments "look at that thing, trying to look fast"......

They tried to race me off some lights, So I got to the legal 40mph by about 4 car lengths in front of them.......lol...... They looked a bit silly when i let them overtake me further up the road as I waved them past grinning.....

I love my Z, didn't want to come home....... just wanted to go for a long drive.........

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Well I haven't got it back yet! I fear I won't get it back until tomorrow! They had planned on having it complete by today, the glass man is coming to fit the rear screen and rear quarters, but there's still a hell of a lot to do (not just my end), there's a lot of work the painter still has to do which includes colour sanding and machine polishing the entire car. The final paintwork won't be done until tomorrow afternoon, but if that gets dragged out, it may mean that I won't get it back (in bits) until Saturday mid morning...if that happens, I'll miss Coventry as I'll be having to get the car sorted, into the garage and whatnot - that's worst case scenario!

It was my own fault for booking it in the week before the show - I got my dates completely muddled up, I blame the jet lag!

I am trying though!

I got MOT last week wooo hooo ...small dramas with cats missing but OK now .... yesterday finished the dremell method on No 6 injector .....Phew took a little while

But all running good again ....Happy me oH and spray the corner of the rear bumper people just keep nicking me in the car parks ...GRRRRRRR

Ps does anyone know where to get some racing style Wing mirrors i have seen these
