How the frig' they've managed to break this I'll never know

I bought a lightweight Odyssey battery for the zed and the guy who posted it did a fantastic job of wrapping it. Double thickness box, bubble wrapped all round, loads of tape and even wrote on both sides for the Parcel Farce' monkeys to take note "This Way UP" (with arrows pointing upwards!)

of course it arrives a day late but no problem, but then this evening I start to unwrap it and the first thing that becomes apparent is that it's been dropped and then as soon as I start to unwrap it I find that one of the ****ing terminals has snapped off!!!

THESE ****ING EEJITS' ARE REALLY STARTING TO GRIP MY SHIT, ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT WHATSOEVER FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY!!!!!

I've just logged a complaint with them and received the usual automated "Thanks for telling us that we're shit, we know that we're shit and we'll always be shit.....please note that this is an automated e-mail response and we might bother our arses to get in touch at some time....maybe....if not please phone our premium rate hot line and we'll happily shaft you again"

*Ok well maybe that's not word for word but it's how I read it

Either way I can guarantee that they'll only cover £100 at best so not a chance in hell of me getting a replacement battery out of them

Someone's getting a battery rammed up their arse in the morning!!

UPS mate. Only ever use either them or Fedex, and Fedex only for certain countries as they are expensive for some territories.

Ups **** up too, I sent a parcel out for work that was supposed to go to france a couple of weeks Ago.

It did make it to France, but then for some strange reason it then got sent to Texas!

Well after its little world tour, we got it back today.

Thought I'd better open it up and check it again to make sure it was good to send back to France, only to find they had literally smashed it to pieces!

My boss wouldn't have minded to much if it had been a cheap item, but it was over a grands worth of Mackie DJ studio recording equipment.

Just goes to show even one of the worlds best couriers (apparently) treat your stuff with no care what so ever!

Cheers mate, I'll remember to use either UPS or Fedex for when I send the CEO of Parcel Force a nice big box of dog shit as a thankyou gift...at least I'll know that it'll get there on time and in one piece:biggrin:

I guess they all get it wrong! I've never once had an issue with UPS or Fedex, thank God!

Well ordered a slot in battery and charger from the US, shipped via UPS, headed over here, where it was picked up by yodel, the package arrived with a nice tire print running across it and this was the state of the battery.

DSC_00451_zps551362b8.jpg

Charger wasnt much good either as both Pins for the socket were bent to hell.

That arrived yesterday.

Sure it wasn't USPS? Not good if Yodel are in cahoots with UPS, Yodel are shockingly bad.

the delivery people try so hard with Yodel but the way they do the logistics is shocking, 40 to 60 parcels are dumped every moning at the delivery persons home, not sorted, no route maps, and the ones that cant be delivered ..( no one in or no safe place to leave them etc ) have to come back to the home of the delivery person , and have priority teh next day, the delivery staff work 6 days a week from 7 till 7 or 9 till 9 and get paid 50p a parcel ....it cost more in fuel than you get in salary .......my wife did it for 3 days it was the worst job she ever had in her life

good luck with your parcel mate

i had 2 items delivered by paisley freight the other week. new wing for the mrs starlet GT, and new tailgate for it too. wrapped in carpet underlay, cardboard and shit loads of parcel tape, marked fragile on all sides. they bent every corner on every item delivering it. GIGANTIC TW@S

OK well i work for parcelforce in the london ctrl depot im a driver at the moment being moved to manager soon - The thing is your parcel would have gone to Coventry wich is the main hub for the UK that we share With FED EX anyways the guys at coventry are mostly agency now as the goverment screwed us over with privatisation. So tbh there diff people from one day to the next up there and tbh i see so many parcels wrecked or smashed to **** before we even get them on the van. Dont always blame the depot or the driver mate as 9 out of 10 times were the good guys and actually care its the dicks at coventry with no etihcs that do it they even steal shit from parcels knowing that we will get the blame. Anyways whats your tracking number you can pm ill look in work on monday and put a marker on it see what they do

Cheers bud, I'm sure there are all sorts of clowns involved in the sorting process and very much like dodgy dockyard/shipping staff who steal bits off imported vehicles, I suspect a small minority are happy to subsidise their income by helping themselves to package contents. I suppose people like that wouldn't really give a monkeys if they damaged a package or not (unless it was something that they wanted to take home with them).

I actually received a generic automated email today basically stating that the sender needs to make the complaint and has to fill out the paperwork in order for Parcel Force to process any potential claim. Now as I see it that's completely flawed in as much as the sender could just wash their hands of the problem and leave the buyer (who's paid in full for the item and paid for the postage) completely high and dry.

The tracking number on my parcel is: FW YI 659 3151 GB

though I am less than confident that any compensation is heading my way any time soon

all delivery companies are the same now the government are making all the bums n crackheads go2 work all the parcel companies are full of the useless tw*ts i sent some brake discs that weighed over 10k and watched the yodel driver fling them about 6foot in2 the back of his van and when i went out 2strangle him his reply was 'wat its in the van isnt it' cheeky fooker!

Ive had so many problems with yodel and royal mail. They don't care at all. I cought the postie just opening my porch door and throwing the parcel on the floor. Luckily it wasn't a breakable item this time round but I still gave the postie a mouthful.

Ive recently caught parcel force get out his van and go straight to my letterbox cut into my gates and drop an "unable to get reply" card in there...never even went to my front door:cursing:

We had that just before Christmas....my wife and I were waiting in early afternoon of Christmas Eve for her Crimbo' present to arrive, as we'd had an email advising the time that it was due for delivery. I was sat no more than 4 feet from the front door sorting out a broken printer, literally out of no where a 'could not get a reply' card was posted through the door time stamped for 1 minute before!!

Within 2 minutes we had the courier company on the phone telling the delivery guy to turn his arse around and deliver the parcel, the driver insisted that he had rung the door bell and had also knocked on the door, to which we called 'bullshit!!'. Funny old thing, when the excuses had run out it transpired that the parcel wasn't even on the ****ing van!!!

No doubt it was quicker to run about posting 'could not get reply' cards through the doors on Christmas Eve rather than trying to actually deliver the parcels....

Many thanks mate

All courier companies are (sadly) pretty much the same mate....

....it's just a question of finding the best of a bad bunch and hoping they don't break your consignment. My works storeman has tried them all - and has decided upon UPS; as they seem to deliver the greatest number of parcels in one piece (including glass panels)... Other than that, he uses FedEx; a bit cheaper but not so good on the damage front.

Richard:sad:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I bought some new wheels the other day and chose to drive for over 3.5 hours each way rather than get them posted!

thats what i tend to do..turn it into a family road trip and make a day of it knowing the goods are safe.

Same as my experience: UPS & Fedex.

My UPS driver told me never to mark anything as "fragile", it just draws attention to it and all the people in the sorting offices/warehouses are on minimum wage and likely to take an interest :(
