Hey Guys,

Out of the few z's i have owned i notice that the end part of the windows always tend to have vertical scratches on the glass. Is there a particular reason for this??

Really old cars with lots of grit on the rubber seals.

Mine have done this but ive managed to get 2 mint doors with brand new glass in

cause i was thinking if i get it tinted would it damage the film? its only on the driver side!

The tint goes on the insde and the scratches will be on the outside. so you will be fine fitting the tint but the scratches will proberly show up more on the darker background :(

I'm sure there is an abrasive glass polish you can use (perhaps with a polisher or electric drill) to buff the window and lessen the appearance....

.....I need to do this on my driver's side door, so if anyone knows how to do it and what to use, please enlighten us!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yeah you can get glass Polish and it comes with pads etc that you put in your drill. You have to be careful not to do it to much on one spot and do it evenly or you will end up with ripples in the glass and your vision can go distorted.

Also don't forget to turn the drill off hammer mode

Had the same problem here (not drill: hammer time lol)

Ended up replacing the windows and also the hardened door rubbers that were the cause of the problem

The (new) bits of rubber cost more than the (second hand) windows

go figure!
