I have been looking and looking at these, seem tremendous value for money with plenty of options and I notice there is even a small hole for the low fuel light which is something on my current indiglos I don't have :mad2:.

As I have added a boost gauge to my clocks I now really need something new with 6 matching faces. Not sure on these though if I would of liked to of seen the red 300ZX on the rev counter as well to balance it up, maybe just me !!

Also wonder if they come with a dimmer control.

Here is the ebay link

And a pic, I'm thinking white with blue illumination :cool3:.

I prefer type 1, but they dont seem to do them without the boost gauge

Add one, what set me off I got a set of S4 onwards clocks from Japan with a boost gauge. Sure for S4, S5 and the final 99 model all these used the same clocks.

Back to the ebay one, it would have to be the 160mph one instead of the 180mph which is putting me off a touch although I will never do this speed, not sure what the 180kmh ones are for, perhaps a Z stuck in 2nd gear .

Some jdms had 180kph clocks as they were restricted electronically to a lower speed.

on reading further its around 112 mph roughly 180 odd kph.

After having EL dials in the past, its not something i would go back too. There have been improvements visually over the past few years, but nothing yet that ive thought wow, i must have lol.

They look much better than all other indiglow dials I have seen for the 300zx, as I really do not like it when the numbers on the speedo/tacho are not horizontal.......

......And of the types on offer, I have to agree. The black dials with illuminated numbers/outer circle look far nicer than the white clocks; to me, that was a fashion trend from the 1990s that is better left in the past!

It would be good if they did dials for UK spec cars with a 180-mph speedo though...

Right ever since I started this thread I have been liaising with this company via email.

It seems they will make up 'projects' of whatever you want :thumbup1:.

Told them rough at first what I wanted with the aid of some links/attachments and they gave me a price which they have stuck to.

I paid in full via paypal, Adam he's called sent me through a draft and straight away I liked as it was on the lines of what I asked for. I informed him of some alterations and he sent me through another, getting there now so just a few more tweaks and now the finished product that will be bespoke made for me now is below.

It's each to there own but these will be white background and will glow up red and blue when lit, similar in style but not as busy as my last ones. He does tell me that the petrol pump symbol in the stock position is translucent and will light up when low on fuel.

Any observations/comments/criticisms very welcome for these roughly JDM style faces, there are some talking points for the eagle eyed out there :detective:.

My Moman EL Dials.jpg

Look great, impressed that they will custom for you, but for me the speedo could prove expensive.... The rev counter is ideal, but whilst you have the magic 200 shown , the needles going to spend must of it's time in the 1st 3rd of the dial and with minimal increments to gauge your speed, particularly in the 30/50 range, which could catch you out with speed camera as etc.!!

Think I would of sacrificed the 200 for a more detailed increment dial, otherwise very impressed!

Id be weary of the second ones that say about removing the needles, they are very sensitive devices and if you remove the needles they do not respond well once put back in, seems they "balance" when stock in the tube they sit in, once you disturb that balance, they sink in and get stuck, i had this issue the first time i ever put EL dials in my 300zx, had to get new clocks to sort the issue out as there was no way to get the needles in and free moving enough, the responce from the needles isn't fast enough or smooth enough once tampered with.

I do like the ones designed, but id have 30 and 70 marked in red to help

Im not too keen on the original white design, that big black part (with the red 300zx logo on) on both the speed o and rev counter draws the eyes too it and makes you loose the sleek look.

I do like the black dials though.

Not sure I'm in agreement with you as the speedo as a line every 5mph, but yes I did want the 200mph showing :thumbup1:.

And no slicktop logo on dials ? :)

No...I wanted to keep more universal dials and I did see later on in the design that I could have NISSAN on one and 300ZX on the other.

Not had an issue yet with removing needles, I know what you mean though as they will take a bit of trialing to get accurate again and will not be to every ones cup of tea all the fiddling.

With regard to the 30 and 70, you can't have everything as I didn't want them too busy.

A few things people haven't noticed and frankly I am disappointed  the temp display as the same increments as the fuel gauge and the same can be said of the boost and oil gauge :thumbup1:

I will update when these come in to me, I am expecting really nice quality faces.

One final design twist I did, the 4 position should NOT be at the 6 o'clock position on the oil pressure gauge, should be a tad to the right of it .

For me, if the dials were black like OEM, with the numbers white when off and blue when on with the red highlighted parts, they would be ideal.

Great work Andy, nice to see you have a company interested in accommodating requests.

Every set I see for sale there is always something I don't like about them and this includes the set I originally had on the car, so getting some bespoke made as been ideal for me.

We all like different things but getting the red well lit needles spinning in front of them should look very nice IMO.

Nothing stopping you from getting some made to your exact remit bud :thumbup1:.
