Hi guys who likes my shelter lol,

This is how not to work on your zed,

The o no not again bit is I started my engine bay again, ive welded all the seams up on the passenger side now.

And started both sides again, gonna make it smooth so welded all the holes where u bolt fuse box and power steering pot.

Got rid of hicas so that nasty thing has gone too.

I'll get some closer pics up tomorrow, when ive sanded some of the filler I put on so badly lol.

Was gonna relocate fuse box to where my aircon pump use to be and power steering bottle under nose panel.

Anyone else done similar, got any advice or better ideas, or even better some pics of how they did it..

Thank u.

That cover is my best invention yet lol, it surprising how much warmer it is.

I cant sit indoors love being under my bonnet, doing things and learning.

Most of time like this engine bay end up doing same job 100 times but atleast I enjoy it.

Cheers for reply..

looks good mate. How are you going to fix the wing on?

Wing bolts on same as usaul, aint touched them bits, where the bolt holes are the stuff what looks like filler is the factory seam sealer which sealed wing but when I used primer it covered it.

I got no choice i have to keep doing it my lazy painter bro in law wont help his to busy, once engine bay is ready his gonna paint engine bay then I can put engine back in take it to his work and paint the whole car.

Only thing me doing it, is its surprising how much all this primer, filler, stonechip has cost to keep sanding it back off,

Must have spent £300 in materials likely I could have got a shop to paint it.

I make my own stonechip out of bitumen paint and corse sand...mix it together and the stuff dries with a hard surface but still flexible

Viagra u ****ers lol.

Anyone know the best place for power steering pot and fuse box I have no holes now so gotta move them.

Was gonna put pot under nose panel and fuse box where aircon pump was.

Also sent my plenum to be powder coated, picked the candy blue he showed me the colour and looks good.

Also gonna do the looms in blue conduit and blue silicone hoses.

And all the rocker covers, throttle bodies in the artic white my cars being painted.

got a load of cellulose gloss black so gonna use that on all the intercooler pipes etc.

I ended up removing the stonechip in my engine bay it was staying soft and could scrape it off,

Thought all the places u dont see put stonechip on protect it and make it more hard wearing.

Big mistake hours with wire brush on a drill.

Does your stuff overpaint, got dinitrol stonechip in my arches and under whole car,

Its not been over painted but im not sure if im happy with it, looks good but that feels a little soft too.

Can dig my nail into it, so god knows if its gonna hold up to stones.

Maybe thats why it dont chip cause its soft, never used it before so dont know how its ment to be.
