I have mine on a classic policy; limited to 5,000 miles a year; the car is garaged (as I have a daily driver) and I live in a low crime area in The Chilterns.... Costs me £270 with an agreed value - I'm 42 with a clean licence....

.....I did use my ZX as a daily driver about 7 years ago and even then, with full protected NCB (car still garaged at night) I paid £400 p/a with Admiral for a "normal" policy.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

As long as its over 15 years old they will take as classic, mines a 1994.... Admiral did me a good deal originally. to get classic you also need to have access to another car..

I'm about 8 years old, with 3 points, classic policy with footman james limited to 1500 miles. 4 years ncb. and I live in sunny sunny Bournemouth, its not actually gods waiting room, we have our fare share of scum, we import them for drug rehab :)

A lot of the guys on here use SKY and Heritage.. have you tried them?

Yup - as well as Lynbrooks, Lancaster, Carole Nash to name a few more......

.... I am aware how much living in London loads premiums (my sister lives in Leyton and pays about £800 for her Pug 207cc) but out here in Bucks, I only pay £325 to cover the SLK!! Someone must be able to do you a better deal.

Its interesting Rich, Lynbrook and Heritage wouldnt quote me insurance but a lot of Guys get great deals from them.. do you think they make the prices up? lol...

Every year I spend an hour on the phone and just call everybody... probably costs me more in calls but worth doing..

I really do hope one of these companies comes good for you buddy.....

Well have a guy looking at the car tomorrow will have to sell for £1000.tryed most insurance named on here all want 980 to 1170 so could be good by Z :(

I think whether they will insure it depends on how you describe the car. I was playing with online aplication forms, think it was lynbrook or lancaster. There was the option to select fairlady or 300zx. Both options led to the correct description of my car, one got me a good quote and the other no quote

Try a company called Footman James. I'm living in Plaistow and it's costing me 340 pounds a year.
