High performance RW drive cars don't normally sell that well in the winter. Plus most people are still paying for Christmas. Why not sub up and then you can advertise it on here? Our members know the cars and your more likely to get interest from them this time of year.

It is the wrong time of year for one thing - not to mention the high running costs and fuel consumption; all of which make people stop and think before buying a thirsty, frivolent summer toy.

Please do not let this turn into a for sale thread though as only subscribed memebrs are permitted to sell on the forum. The moderators will edit or delete the thread if it starts to go that way mate.......:detective:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I don't think it's that no one wants a zed people just haven't got money for anything, with the price of living so high and wages so low luxuries like a performance car just isn't at the top of people's list,

I mean I'm in two minds at the min what to do with mine :(

have to sell it by 20th this month. Or its 900 in insurance if i have to pay that then i have too keep it

As I said mate, get your self subscribed and then place an add in the Cars for Sale section. It's a small price to pay to advertise to real enthusiasts.

Unless your 12, a convicted drunk driver or live in a warzone thats very expensive. Most members pay around 400 and some pay naff all I pay 150 a year.

Thanks for subbing mate, feel free to advertise your car :)

PS. Being a member can also help reduce your insurance ;)

Wow - that's high!!

I am glad I don't live in London anymore....:scared:

.....Oh; and thank you for your support in subbing mate. As Steams says, feel free to advertise your car in the for sale section. Good luck with the sale....

Ive seen all these cheap quotes mentioned but Ive never managed to find one... im paying 350 with mods declared.... AF are pants, with them now but wont use them next year...

harby:

£350 is still pretty cheap, im with footman james, second car on limited mileage and classic policy so that all helps. I was with flux before that nearly a grand! no thanks.

stonewall:

it must just be the London thing plus the whole parking it on the road at night, that pushes it up. must suck, but then everything in London is twice the price aint it.

It's obviously because of my age but if it makes you feel any better - I pay just short of £2000 for insurance :scared:

Post code lottery in Manchester. Boyfriends insurance dropped by a huge amount when he moved half a mile!!

Gutted, i read your other post about insurance and wondered how old you were, have a word with Sky. I got mine for £550 all mods declared, 7 years ncb, one claim, although if i didnt park it at my dads it would be £3-400 more and i only live 10miles away. Parked on the road should make it cheaper too.

i was always led to believe a garaged car or behind gates was cheaper...who told you a car on the road was less expensive

I'm 29, in a 'fairly' decent area, garaged, 3,000 miles per year, no NCB, £204, and £1.65 of that is a charge for using my debit card! And it's a good policy too, european break down, 60 days european cover per year, legal aid etc. That's with footman james, I actually can't believe it's a lot cheaper to insure than to tax! Ars3hole government, I'm surrounded by pot holes. Give FJ a bell, very helpful and a lot of people on here have had great deals from them. Either way, hope you get sorted matey.

As you Tudor im with FJ £187 a year fully comp 34yr old, 6000mls limit, 3 pts on Licence SP50, Free European Breakdown Cover, although whilst im not using the vehicle between the hours of 10pm and 6am the car has to be either on my drive or in my garage.

Paid in full before they changed their minds as my Peugeot 206HDi 1.4 for me and my partner costs £1000 and thats with paying in full with 11 years no claims!!!!

WOW! classic ins?

When i last did my quote, i said it was parked on the drive, they said it would be cheaper on the street (i didnt ask about the garage, maybe thats best) so i say its parked on the street.

If i go on the meerkat website i still get a range from £550 - £4500.

And from what people get on here, it just goes to show its a right load of *****x.
