How can I replace n/s engine mount?

Old one broken, got a new one, can't get at the top nut. Any ideas? Somebody must have changed one before. Do I really have to start stripping out everything from above just to get at that one nut??

u will need to take the alternator off or AC unit .. depending on the side but not that hard really

ime sure you can get at it from underneath and from the back facing forward...failing that not a massive job clearing pipes from top and going down

Just support the block with a crane via the plenum, drop the ubframe its only d bolts then undo the whole mount, as mark says you will prob need the air con or alternator out to make life easier.

I'm well ahead with all that stuff. Got the lower half of the broken mount out, just that top piece I can't undo. Everything is in the way as per usual. Just wondered if someone had been in a similar situation and had any advice.

Hmmm.... I'll have a look at it tomorrow as it's in a friend's workshop. From memory though, I thought the main problem was the turbo pipe directly above the nut. Could be wrong, didn't have a good look at it.

It's beyond me! Surely a "super moderator" would have an idea why it does that from my phone....

Anyways, nut is off, new engine mount in and car is tip top!
