Hi

AS I am gonna be removing the dashboard guages soon to fit backlight LEDs I was wondering if anyone has fitted these http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=172&category_id=73&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7 in red/white

Are they basically just plastic transparent stickers that fit to the standard dial guage, and illuminated by the backlighting ?

I prefer the look to the iridium ones http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=484&Itemid=7 though thats just my opinion

And also they are a lot cheaper

I personally think the original dash guages look a bit old fashioned now

In first link they are not stickers but replace your dials faces and light up like plasma dials

Iridium are cool :) or you can get any gauges you want ... your imagination and walet is the limit :) i got them dakota digital gauges

Those look nice... in a minimalistic and slightly retro way.... imho.

How difficult is it to fit the reverse indiglo guages, assuming the dash is coming out anyway to change the bulbs to LEDs

Also I should probably start a new thread really but does anyone one know if these are any good?

I am having the car retrimmed in white and black leather around the end of the month so looking for a white/black leather or leather look steering wheel to go with it

I have a momo wheel at the moment but it does not fit in with the rest of the car

They are very simple to fit ... and you not gonna need leds if you fit them indiglow dials

They are easy to fit, but make sure the dial face is well stuck down evenly, if they lift slightly they will catch the needle. Also you will still need led or bulb for rear illumination to light the needles, or they will appear dark without.

So them indiglo thingies are they like an EL panel? They must get illumination from somewhere

LEDs still recommended then groover (needle at least)?

Just for the needles if you think they are not bright enough and for oddometer if you want to change color

Uncanny I have been working in this area today making everything fine and dandy.

Needles just lift off Rich for fitment but be careful.

I have EL dials you talk about and have added another tiny sheet to them and this illuminates a central GReddy cutout that is in a aluminium surround from TwinTurboRich, all on a separate dimmer as well that comes with many EL dial kits :thumbup1:.

Also, my mentor Groover as done this and I got round to it today, giving out loads of red light to an area that is very stock dimly lit, looks even better once all is snapped together, wired in so it will dim on the pod if necessary with all the needle illumination :cool3:.

Mmmm Replica Momo ---- so is that a good thing or a BAD thing? PS = VERY nice interior pic by the way znut......

The price for that steering wheel looks attractive and I'm looking for something to go with the new leather full retrim which is gonna set me back another £1000 or £1200 so a few quid saved is a bonus no doubt (as long as it does not impact onquality too much)

@andy - that illimination looks real nice mate with the SMD strip

Think I'll order some of these indiglo gauges, get the dash out on the bench ans see what I can do with it, tryin once again to outstage you... in the nicest possible way of course :devil2:

Hmmm why didn't Nissan just call this model the 'Nissan Moneypit'?

cheers once again
