On searching the ebay pages I came across this, I bought one of these well over a year ago and I recommend as it was fitted to mine in the summer by Lee Dent.

In the past there as been issues/threads/posts with regard to these being too long but not this one :thumbup1:.

Of course, any little bits of metal that goes into the oil will stick to this as long as it bypasses in the correct range. They're common on most cars these days, not sure if the Z had them standard though.

Dont surpose they do any harm maybe they do catch a bit a crap floating around in the oil ive just ordered a greddy one of ebay wasnt cheap £20 .

there ideal for keeping an eye on the internals via evidence..the auto,s have a magnet in the bottom of the gearbox sump from the factory

Being an aircraft engineer, I can add that all aircraft engines have chip detectors...... I.E. magnetic sump plugs, the same as this. It is a sure way to keep a check on the internal side of any combustion engine and give signs to internal breakdown. I think this is something I will invest in......

Alz.

Ran them on my cars for years. The threads on the cheapy ones (all of them...?) can be a bit soft apparently, I've never had any problems though.
