Well after around trip of 450 miles yesterday and some of the wettest weather I have ever driven in I am the the new owner of a SWB Slicktop N/A, got lots of plans for it.

It will be getting some of the parts from my silver car and then I will be breaking it. I don't have any pictures of my own at the moment but I'm sure Mark alias (Mackam_Maz)won't mind me using some of his, thanks Mark and good luck in your new adventure.

Cheers Paul

Very nice! Like the wheels

Also, I see you're in Rochester same as me! Wanna get the ball rolling for a Kent meet soon. Thinking maybe bluey or Dockside etc in the new year.

One day I will deeply regret selling that car.:pinch:

Congratulations on a good purchase.:cool3:

That is a very rare car here in the UK and Mark has added hugely to its spec/value:yes:

Thanks Pete, it's the fact that it is a rare car that attracted me to it, I know that both you and Mark have spent time and money on the car over the years, I did a lot of searching on this forum to track down the history of it. I also have some plans for it, I like detail so will be renewing some of the trim and interior panels 99 spec bumper and rear lights, might even give it a respray.

I do have one question for you pete what happened to the drivers door window runner, it appears to be pushed over so you see part of the door post?

Looks mint :thumbup1:

To be honest the window and roof trims could do with freshening up and a good polish which is what I like doing to my cars.

It was like that when I bought it from the dealer in Bham. They were the only other owner here in the Uk and had only registered it to sell it. So I assume it was done in Japan..

Either a break in or a "lost the key job??? I dunno.

Hi, there's not a lot wrong with it Graham, it had an injector go down and I had it changed buy someone local to me, it was returned to me with the engine not running 100% and saying it needed further investigation but I never took it back and through lack of use I lost interest in it. I know I will not get anyone to buy it without an mot and with it's current problem so I will break it to fund my new toy, it has some nice bits on it so I should recoup most of the money I paid for the new one.

I used PlatiDip on mine and was impressed with the results.

I could be interested in your silver Zed as it is, or with all the goodies removed :)

Paul, thats a nice looking Z, shame to brake the silver one though, are you going to repaint the whole car or just the odd panel?

Hi Bob, I think it will end up a full respray, a lot will depends on funds, I want to fit a vented bonnet I've been working on and fit the 99 spec bumper from the silver car, I might get a new drivers door for it (read post 10) also thinking about removing the stone guard from the sills and rear bumper.
