Well there arnt cos most of it comes from the USA so whoever brings it in has to pay shipping vat etc.

And it seems like Nissan worldwide had different pricing structures for different world markets. So Nissan dealers in the UK pay Nissan more for parts than Nissan dealers in the USA.

Which is totally infuriating if like me you live in the UK:glare:

And Yeh I was brought up in a direct tell it like it is world so I dont beat about any bushes:blink:

Too true pete, we need to start taking a page out of the ford boys book and start making repro parts. We also need to think smarter, nissan are very unlikley to have produced every last compnent of the z32 from scratch simply due to finances and why build a new injector connector when the one for you current hatch model is suitable. I bet theres far more multi car components than we know. I recently gota reverse swith fromeuroc ar parts for 18 quid off a navara one for the zed was around 80 same damn part.

I just got a new loom, cheapest I found was here if you go that route. Their part numbers aren't all correct so message them if you get problems and they will sort it out. My shipping was $65 and they will change declared value if you want them to.

ime 99.9% certain that all 90,s micra,s had the same injector plug and socket as the zed...no heat under them engine bays so any found in scrap yards are gunna be perfect and no reason to believe they have diferent coil pack plugs too.Plus the nissan cabstar shares the same clutch slave cylinder as the zed too.

Dead right - there are good UK sources; and there are possibly cheap UK sources (although cheap and 300zx don't actually go together)........

I can well believe that too Bri; Nissan is a mainstream manufacturer after all so there will certainly be parts commonly sourced from other cars in the range for the 300zx. It's perfect economic sense....

Although no doubt when you mention their flag-ship car, Nissan doubles the price!! Toyota did the same thing - I remember needing a headlamp beam unit for my old Mk3 Supra 10 years back. I went to the local main dealers and the old fella in the parts department looked up the part number and quoted me well over a hundred pounds. However when he examined the old broken unit, he also noticed it was the exact same part as the Mk2 MR2 (obviously; same pop up headlamps), the Celica from 1990 and - best of all - the HiAce van!!

The price dropped from £100+ for the Supra light in increments through the Celica and MR2, down to about £60 for the van lamp unit!! They were exactly the same part, but the part number differed by a digit or two - no doubt to differentiate between vehicles (and ultimately price); so one paid a premium for the Supra unit!! Rip-off....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
