Hi got a problem with my zed when I put my foot down it seems when it's trying to boost higher at around 5000rpm and cuts out loses all power, i know it's been uprated and previous owner reckons its pushing around 500bhp and was sitting for 3years when I bought it I've had two people say its either the boost is set too high or the fuel pumps not adequate but have read it could be something to do with the maf any ideas what it could be would be appreciated thanks

Sounds more like maf, does it rev freely past 4k on idle?

Is there any paper work to back up the 500hp claims, we have all heard them but it costs a lot to get to that stage, do you know what mods its got?

the previous owner spend 15k on the engine ive got the reciepts of quite a bit including stage two turbo upgrade, it pulls ok in first and second but only when spinning up and you can pull past 5k if you accelerate slowly, h

need to sort the boost problem out to get it on a rolling road and see what it is pushing

Have u checked coil pack/injector connectors, mine had some broken and car would be fine but when revs got high connector popped off and when I slowed down it fell back has if nothing was wrong.

Hope u sort it mate

Agreed....

that or safety boost, you might need to get it re-mapped.

do all the checks as advised and check for codes.
