Just jumped in the car to drive to my girlfriends in the (extreme) cold.

Turned the key, all warning lights came on then there was a "click" and now no lights come on at all and there's no turnover from the engine.

The immobiliser light still seems to work - this was fitted aftermarket so I assume the battery is charged (it was full yesterday when I was driving - I've got a battery indicator gauge).

Any ideas what it might be? My firstthoughtswere obviously a fuse but I'm not sure which one to replace first in which box - help!!

Sounds like a dead battery, check terminals, battery fuse is in the engine bay. If the starter is stuck, rock the car back and forth in 2nd gear to see if that frees it and try and start again.

Check the connections on battery, had something similar on mine battery connector was not tight and jumped off.

agree with this, check battery connections, had the same, also had it where i was driving along put me foot down for a bit of fun and the car died on me at 60mph, had to get the car towed home, and someone had extended the positive battery cable, but didn't do a good job of it, and it had worked its self loose and separated.

But also had it where the terminals were not making a good contact even though they were tight, take the ternminals off, give them a wire brush and put them back on.
