could be saved with a bit of love if its not salt water so worth buying back off insurance....horrible pics though to see a zed like that:sad:

Network rail didn't unblock their drains when they were working on the railroad 3 weeks ago

 Hope your all going to be suing the arse of them. Bloody idiots :cursing:

balls i recon you can save it though with some time and elbow grease the ecu and maf will be goosed prob the alternator aswel. but its surprising what will survive getting wet once its dried out. if there was no power going to the car at the time which im guessing it was parked up for the night so not. just gotta clean it up dry it out and see what happens but yeah network rail should definatly be sending you a lovely cheque.

Just seen this on the Welsh news. the water is a bit lower and i just knew it was yours. just about see the alloys and scarb front :(

Hope you can get it sorted mate

Holy shit man thats awful! Saddens me to see!

Going to need those targas of for a while to air that out ;)

I hope you get a positive resolution in the end mate, got a nice slicktop for you whe network rail send you a nice cheque!

Yeah they didn't waste anytime getting those pics up, this was the ones I took when water was at its temporary.jpg

And from above

Both taken before itv or the BBC turned up

i still think that can be saved, but it boils down to if you want to or not.

though if you continue to park there, might be an idea to get something like this.

This old chap saved his 911 from the grasp of hurricane sandy.

Not a nice sight to wake up to in the morning, i feel for you Dean, but sue Network rail and you might do alright out of it all.

Ahh shit Dean, so sorry to hear it and see those pics, I hope you get an easy resolution mate :(

Gutted for you. Hope the damage isn't too great and Network Rail/insurance see you right.

I'm certainly no expert with regards to this kind of thing but I would have thought that it could be saved (though not sure how economically viable this would be even if purchased back off the insurance company really cheaply).

Bloody hell Dean, gutted for you.... Keep us updated....

At least it looked like the targas never leaked....

Sorry to see this mate. My first Zed flooded to about the same depth and it wasn't salvageable.

All the ECU's were knackered and the wiring went to rat sh1t.

Good luck with it.

Insurance company picking car up tomorrow

Ah for the best I suppose mate. Are you leaving the world of zeds behind or starting afresh?

Insurance company picking car up tomorrow

hope you've pulled all the good bits off it :)

Pretty sure i'm leaving the Z scene and modified cars full stop. This whole thing has left me deflated.

:(

Shame i have a blue zed here with all the ECU's you could ever want and the internal wiring.
