My Zed has been vandalised for the second time now after owning it for just 2 months :(

First time they slashed both of my rear tyres.

Today I have found it with both front tyres slashed, left wing mirror broken and with a nice mix of white paint, eggs tomatoes and flour over it.

No idea who would do this.

So my question is what should I do now? I really cant afford to keep sorting it out and by this rate it will be up in flames by Christmas.

Some points...

I dont have a view of the street I park in from my flat.

There are other streets to park in but they are usually full and I end up parking in this one.

There is a private car park outside the building that costs £700 per year but can be accessed by anyone. (I walk through it to get to my Zed).

My old golf was never vandalised for the time that I had it.

Really had enough now :(

Did you report it and if so what are the police doing about it.

I reported it today and they are going to come and take a look at it tomorrow morning. Not really sure what they can do but I guess its always worth reporting it.

jelousy thats all it probably is, perhaps they cant afford one on there dole check after buying stella/white lightning fags and weed!

Was going to suggest something similar. You can buy (will find a thread later) cameras that you place a mobile sim into. When they see movement they take a pic and send it your email of mms it to your phone instantly..

Upto you then how quickly you get with a baseball bat, b@st@ards...

Good luck with it...

Hate to see when people cant leave cars alone.

Cameras in car, useless. What good will it do when the police cant use the evidence if as you expect at this rate car would get torched.

Honestly pal if i was you and you want to have a nice car like a zx thdn unfortunatly the best way would be to move.

Somewhere with a driveway or off road parking is the only way with these cars.

Hope you do catch them tho and well before the plod do.

Got a visit from the police this morning. Was told there is pretty much no chance of them catching these little scumbags but they will pass on the information to the neighbourhood watch team so that they can increase patrols in the area. They will also speak to all the local residents near where I parked in case anyone witnessed it.

I supposed this is actually more of an effort from them than what I expected. Not going to change the fact that it will probably happen again though.

Cant stand this we work so hard to afford our cars and some low life with an IQ similar to a brain dead shrimp can come along and jelously key/paint or kick it to bits, makes me sick, i rekon they should have there arms cut off it wouldnt be any loss to society and as they are sub-human it wouldnt affect their human rights!! I think you might just have to swallow the 700 quid as it looks to me like they are targeting your car at least if its on a communal driveway youll be able to keep an eye on it

Do exactly as Voddy says , be discreet and have a mate in the boot , then when the fookers come , take them for a ride and a chat ,

you lay the passenger seat back, lay in that with a blanket over you, with that seat back they wont even see you in the dark unless they are peering through the window's, at least you will know who the fooker is then.

Are you sure you are not being targeted by someone local? doubt its because of the specific car, but might be to do with where its parked, though slashing your tyres is a bit non productive if they want you to move it.

Sorry to see that! :-(

Are there any garages nearby that you're able to rent? I think most local councils usually have a few, although you might not be near any...

Slightly different scale, but my Zed was parked outside my house and the kids who lived nearby kept scratching it, leaving sweaty hand prints and food stains etc all over it.

I've now got a garage that I'm renting, granted it's barely big enough to fit my Zed in but it does the job. It's about £20 per week, although guessing the prices in London would be considerably more...

On a serious note yhough this kept happening to my van, it was a neighbour. He simply didnt like me parking outside his house. We had an exchange I dont park there anymore. My van doesnt get vandalised.

Very sorry to see this mate - and I'd be fuming too if that was my car.

That's probably what's happening TBH; if it is only your car that gets done and you were parked in the same place each time. What these low-lives don't seem to understand, it that the road is a public highway; and unless you have your own reserved or off-street bay, then it's fair game for anyone to park there. But there are such petty "Little Englanders" who think they have the sole given right to park outside their own house and take their pathetic "revenge" on anyone else who gets there first....:censored:

If i still lived in East London, I'd never park on the street; I'd make sure I had a garage. When I visit my folks now, my sister makes space for me on the drive; as they know I hate parking in Leyton.... I'd think carefully about that secure parking area mate - £700 a year seems a lot, but it'll be cheaper than the constant repairs (or the increase in insurance premiums if you ever claim for the damage).

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Didn't you say your old car didn't get touched???

Having only had the car two months I wonder if it's anything to do with something the previous owner did.....? Not accusing, and sorry if the previous owner is on here, just a thought.

These cars are rare enough to see that one causing a nuisance wouldn't be hard to recognise......?

Again, not saying you've done anything, or that the previous owner did, just another perspective.........

Alternatively again though, people get pissy about all sorts, does your car have a noisy exhaust or anything??

id clean the car up and sleep in the fooker till i caught the little scotes at it.

Yeah what voddy says and I would get a mate or 2 to wait in a van parked across the road too!

I caught a little t**t kick my wing mirror off once and I ran out of the house with practically no clothes on and grabbed the little barsteward!! I knew who it was too! Couldnt believe it. Some people are just so jealous!

Hope you find out who did it mate and they get what comes to them!

A hate things like this, like someone has said previously it is either that you have parked in someones regular space, you have too many cars and people are jealous or people are just jealous anyway. Hope you catch the little ba$!ards

even if they were caught they would only get a slap..

Camera helps you identify the person.

I live in a nice area and but had a few issues, camera helped identify it was people across from me didnt like me parking in front of my house as it meant they had to pop a wheel on the curb. They b=now park there car elsewhere.. These cameras send you a message instantly so you can get there.

Did have a work colleague who had one in his house in Scotland. Whilst we were on a works do in London, he recieved a running picture commentary of somebody taking his 50 inch plasma...

Also like the idea of camping out..

Fit a motion sensitive night vision camera like this one descreatly in the car http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IN-CAR-NIG...item3f19333b9a

Thanks, thought about doing this but I've decided to pay for the private parking AND get a camera in my flat looking over the car. I do want to keep my Zed and I guess this is the only way I am going to be able to do it. Unless I move flat that is...
