if you need to adjust the idle

warm car up...

turn car off

disconnect AAC

turn car on

adjust idle screw to 650 ish rpm

connect AAC

and bingo....

but if you do that and the high idle was because the cable or something was sticking you risk stalling.

all i did was knock the tps and it moved anti clockwise vey slightly and idle speed went up so i moved it back clockwise have i broke it

No you just need to reset it, use a multimeter to get a reading of .44-46v, unplug the tps feed, start engine, then plug it back in while engine is running, the ecu should then read it correctly. If you need to adjust the iacv, unplug, adjust the idle screw till just before stalling, plug back in iacv plug and the ecu will then take over the idle.

cheers budd will try tomorrow does the engine need to be at normal operating temp first so it dont fast idle when cold

Ideally for the iacv yes, needs to be up to temp. Setting the tps can be done cold as its an electronic adjustment, but may as well do both at the same time, TPS first though.

no... the tps voltage is taken either two ways, one with conzult or the other with a multimeter (as groover has explained) and that can be done with the engine off see the guide i sent you..
