Am i right in thinking that to eliminate this thing i just need to loop the 2 pipes ontop that go into it and remove it all?

What happens if you unplug it?

Thanks

Its still active if you unplug it iirc. Pointless unplugging it lol.

My understanding of this is, Cut the banjo fitting off the hose nearest in the picture then cut the rubber pipe and connect the 2. Then your free to remove aslong as you have a lockout bar or n/a rear end fitted.

Though im a tad confused as mines isnt set up like yours. Mines doesnt have the small rubber pipe connected to the p/s pot, instead it goes right down into the engine bay. Think it's still the same idea for me to do this though.

Thats weird about the plug.

The car has an NA diff, but all the pipes are hanging blocked and annoying me so i want to take it all off.

Thanks guys.

I know they did an electric one, but if you have this and its all different i dont know, a very early one or a very late one maybe?

how nezzi21 said is how i did mine, but mine was a uk spec so i had a cooler plumbed in aswell, so just removed cooler,

on the pic above small pipe looks like they just loop the cooler.

remove pipes underneath and it will leave two pipes,

the one going to hicas part closest to you in pic just cut close to where the bolt goes through leaving some of the metal pipe so you can slide it into the other rubber pipe and jubile clip it,

the small pipe is curved so i got a small length of straight pipe to join them togheter

Where is the cooler located? Sounds like yours was the same as mine. Looking to rip all this out shortly.

Also theres an hicas ecu under passenger feet, with engine ecu.

with 2 plugs cant remember what one to unplug, if u do these one at a time its easy.

if u unplug 1 and it make steering really heavy plug that one back in, you want the other plug

the other will stop hicas lights coming on etc.

i took all the pipes off 2 long metal pipes running from front to back of car, it was quite easy.

goodluck.

The cooler was in front of rad behind bumper,

could have kept it and looped it in but jap cars dont have it,

so i didnt bother more to go wrong and leak.

Yeah its an import so no cooler, ill get on that this weekend i think.

Will it need draining first or will there be minimal fluid in there seing as its not being used. Its still in the loop though

Its gonna empty the pot, etc and leak from pipes i just had pot and caught it,

Once u get into it its fairly straight forward, if you get stuck i put couple of pics up of mine, just let me know

goodluck.
