There is any way to instal OBD-II plug (i got Central 20 ECU ) in my 300ZX z32 TT 1990 ?

I hope this question is not very stupid ;) .

As far as I'm aware the answer is a No i'm afraid. The zed was just before ODB came out so uses it's own system called Datascan or there is the aftermarket version called Conzult which does a little bit more.

 

I'm pretty sure that none of the signals from the ecu are ODB compatible.

As above OBD no good for the zed

and if i buy and install ECU from +1996 ? I think they got ODB-II .

U can do self diagnostic on the ecu there is a screw turn it and count the flashes.

If u want to put it on diagnostics things like the launch x431 have a Nissan plug .

Or find someone with consult.

What did u want obd2 for to read faults or something else.

i just see this movie and becouse i sell my iPhone 4 and buy Galasy S3 i wonder i can use this :) .

Got netflix on it watch films in hd at work. They all said it was to big at 1st then saw the screen and realised why when watching a film.

That wikipedia entry must be ref the US market. My 1999 Series 6 (god I love typing that) has normal Consult port (eg not OBD11). There is a PDA version but it is only for early PDAs with serial connector http://www.ecutalk.com/compatibility.aspx . Works, though.

i know the zed changed from 16 pin to 32 pin ECU i think from 96 onwards...must of been for OBD compliance but a few 96,s are really 95 built models with the normal 16 pin

So basicly even if i found +96 ECU with OBD-II , install it in my car i still cant use OBD-II plug (and ELM 327 Diagnostics + programs), im stuck with conzult yes?

OBDII and Consult are diferent protocols. I know that OBD2 is CAN Protocol.
