Well I've moved on now and got a few sets of headlights over the last few weeks and have made these on the bench initially with a view to fit in my own car :cool3:.

Pictures didn't seem to work so well so I made a small vid.

Done everything to these which includes a thorough cleaning, fitting of the Tamiya adjusting cogs, chroming the inserts, halo sidelights and then HID 6000k 55w dipped lights with slim ballasts.

Kept the 55w Phillips Halogen H1's in the main beam.

Hope you all like :thumbup1:

So you went for the 90mm sitting on the outside of the ring instead of the 70mm inside the ring?

Really hard to get pics as they are so bright, but as you know i have them, so must love them too

Yeah bud I am very happy with everything about them and when I do some more I will not change a thing, the outer diameter is 85mm and internal 71mm, marine grade flexible clear silicone to bond them in.

I have also heat taped the two wire supply to them in case they get warm from the HID's :cool3:

Was going to fit them in mine but I have another set and also the set that is on my car so can convert any of these at a later date.

On another note, I have acquired a set of door handles and had a play with lighting up the key hole so that is next

Reading between the lines eh, my plan in time is really to whack some of these on ebay and see how they go, the HID's were £26.00 and in total the halos with extra inverter were £18.00, 2 packs of tamiya cogs are £8.00, add all this to the actual headlight cost and then my time, I have seen a seller in the USA sell them and they weren't cheap, I took every effort to make these perfect as my mind was set at the time they were going in mine :cool3:

Hmm Nice..Andy i will give you a call tomorrow:cool3:
