Datascan cable

I just got a datascan cable but when I plug it into my consult port Datascan didn't find my ECU.

 

I ran the Finf ECU option .

 

Only the red light was on the connecter and I have an Impul ECU.

 

Tried the free version of Conzult as well but nothing.

    first thing to check is the comm port that the cable was found under then set that in the software to the same.

     

    Worked a treat.

     

    The free versions don't let you do much but now I know they are working.

    agreed.. these can be a pain.... have you got a serial port or are you using USB adaptor or is the cable direct to to USB?

     

    Got it from Ebay is a usb adaptor one.
