Hey Guys,

I am looking for a z specialist in london? Anyone know of any?!! Doesnt have to be a garage, even if its a person capable of doing small works on the z!

Cheers!

From personal experience, it's worth doing small jobs yourself if you can. Depends how fussy you are too (as you know what's being done). This place helps with advice and there's always good write ups for most things ;)

As far as I know there is ONLY one Zed specialist in the UK... (Zedworld, Birmingham).

you may find mechanics that have experience with Zeds and or are willing to work on one but as has been said by Vijay.... you won't fins a "Specialist"

Oh, and just to make it clear, don't bother taking it to a Nissan dealer.

What problems do you have that need a specialist?

(don't know if the link works)

It doesn't

Lee Dent in Shrewsbury, Phil in Manchester and Zedworld are the ones I would trust :cool3:

All mean travelling though but if you want the job or jobs doing properly :cool3:

Did not Mr.F have a guy in Essex who did work on the Z32 and was there not another guy in Kent who Yassa used to recommend

well its not a specialist thing, but general service etc, i just dont trust general garages with it. Also need a pas tube changed etc.

In that case then mate, the best advice i can give is to always try and take it to a garage when there's nothing wrong it! it's much easier lol

So plan a night away from home, take the long trip up to Zedworld, service and setting up with check over. start some history with it.

stay the night in a cheap B+B sample the Midlands and head home when cars ready, simples :-)

Guess that is what i will have to do :), so next month will have to book an appointment with zedworld :)

Others have had a good experience with Zedworld but after my one and only service with them, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. I think unless you know the mechanics personally, it's always gonna be a risk where you take it.

99.9% of folk will recommend Zedworld, EVERYWHERE you go you will find some picky sod that will pick faults!

Besides, as owners, you will NEVER know the mechanics personally, not even Nissan do! Jeff & Jamie are personal with these engines.

I'm getting sick of repeating myself & playing polly!!!!!

At the end of the day, its your car, your choice, your wallet & depends on how much you respect & cherish it, if you dont wanna spend the money on trip through the country for good honest & reliable work then DONT own a 300ZX.

You lot make me laugh, I was using ZED world years ago, like back in the nineties when i owned my Z31, Zedworld was in Telford back then. I have only ever gone there, always a 500 mile trip but well worth every penny & peace of mind!

Just as Spritley56 says, if you dont want to spend the money then its simple, dont get a zed!

Nuff said & end off.

Absolutely agree, the majority of people praise Zedworld which is why I took my car on a trailer there. Sadly I wasn't impressed at all and it's not cos I was picky and my car/engine certainly never got the personal touch - in fact it's never run so bad!

Also agree, it's a choice every owner has to make on where to trust there Z :)

You must be one of the very few then everyone else i speak to cant fault them as i cant both fcr work and service as said previously

everone to there own opinion bud for one i will continue to blow ZEDWORLDS trumpet anyway

Once again, I agree with you, I do seam to be on my own but sadly I didn't have a good experince with them and would never go back. I honestly wish I was with the majority as my Z would be running.

OK guys, so some have had a bad experiance, its been stated, move along now please. this isnt a bash zedworld thread and i dont want to see it turning into one. ive had bad experiances with a lot of things other than zeds, but others havent, if thats the case, then so be it, every business has off days. time to move on.
