I can't believe I'm actually saying this but some unfortunate circumstances have come my way over the last 6 months.

 

I'm so sad to have to ask this question after 5 years of money, love and devotion havegone into this car but here goes......

 

How much can I get for it?

 

I'm looking for a quick sale and preferably cash.

 

Oh yes, I also have a load of spares including SWB doors, targas, tailgate, bonnets, rear bumper, tonns of enginge spares, interior panels etc.

I would say 5k easy for the quality of car. but times are hard and there isnt alot of cash about so maybe 3 fook knows these days :(

I'd be happy to hand over £6k for that car. As long as it works as well as it looks.

Sorry to see you selling mate, with acar in as good a condition as yours id break her you will make alot more in bits then selling as a whole, trust me I know from experience.

lovely stunning car if i didnt have kids and my car was deemed a total loss id snap this up in a heart beat.

 

Its one of the best zeds on the forum.

 

You best keep it long enough for JAE matey.

This is my favourite zed!! What a shame you're selling, if I had the cash I would snap it up without a seconds thought, hope everything turns round and you don't have to sell though!

fantastic car, such a shame you're selling. i know your pain! i REALLY didnt want to sell my RX7 last year and had no choice. i got £4200 for her and it wasnt as sharp as your baby. you should easily get 6k, but you might have to play a waiting game. pistonheads probably a good bet.

quick sale 4-4.5k, take ages to sell then 6k

 

although its a very nice car there isnt much cash about, boldys has just sold for around the 5k mark i think and a lot of work had gone into that with an engine rebuilld aswell

 

sorry to see your having to sell, ive just had to do it with the M3 after taking ages to repairing it, but its for the best and i had to do it

Andy, not knocking anyone here but lots of people will tell you they would pay5-6k for your car but in the end no one will cough up the cash as there just aint the money out there these days, which is exactly why I broke mine. made alot more on breaking then i would have selling as a whole, and i dont have to feel bad seeing anyone driving my car :)

Ah bloody hell mate! After all the work you have put into a stunning car. Is this last resort kinda thing?

But on a serious note as said previously i do hope you can manage not to sell and for me to break down all the hard work put in would devastate me so hopefully you wont have to go down this route but as times are difficult we sometimes have no option but to.

 

ZX-TT must have been difficult taking apart all that work put in?

Was pretty gutting but glad i did it that way, Unfortunately I would never have another zed again now they are too much hassle, Im much happier without one.

I am sorry to see that mate; having seen your car I'd have to agree with the comments already made. Around £4.5 to £5k for a quicker sale but I'd hold out for £5.5 to £6k myself.....

 

....but then with that awful front lip you might struggle to get a tenner....:laugh:

Like i say, i've only seen Andys car in pictures. So assuming its in as good nic as it looks and its mechanically sound, it MUST be worth over £5k. The problem is, there are so many shitters for sale at £1k and below it drags down the value of the good ones

 

The point i was trying to make was, if i was in the market for a zed i would happily fork out £6k for that. The market is tiny, but there is a higher end to it. There are people who want a good car, not just the cheapest one available. I'd have it advertised at the £6k region. If no luck, breaking would have to be an option. There's no way you could settle for £4k for that amount of car

Agreed mate, and i had so many people say the same about my car but did i get any serious buyers with the cash in hand "NO" lots of people praising the car and saying if they where looking that they would easily pay that for mine, but people saying that and people with that kinda money to through on a 20 year old car are 2 very different things mate.

 

I wish that wasnt the case and these cars are deffo worth more then they currently sell for, but fact is they were never in fast and furious so never got the cred they deserved.

flipping heck, well wait till i find out what the insurance says lol, might not have room for a 2+0 but if it saved it from going to the scrapper so be it. id defo pay the 5k to 6k asking price for that, having seen it in the flesh and seen the work thats gone into it, most certainly worth it.
