Hi

Been lurking for a while since getting my NA. Finally got around to saying hello.

I had an S13 about 15 years ago and always wanted a Z32. They were out of my price range back then but now that I've been gently persuaded to give up motorcycling, I have a bit of spare cash.

She's a 92 I think, although the V5 says 93 (I say that because she has alloy calipers, which I read somewhere were phased out in 1992). She needs a bit of work - centre bearing's wobbly and the diff (I think) is a bit noisy. But she goes well and has zero rust.

I'm off to ZedWorld at the end of the month to find out what needs to be done to sort out the mechanicals. Looking forward to it!

Meanwhile I'm dealing with the dodgy paint. Someone let Stevie Wonder paint the OS rear wing but it's 100 times better after a couple of hours of wet sanding and buffing.

I restore old minis as a sort of self-financing hobby / form of self abuse, so I'm pretty good with a welder and spray gun. I thought I was OK with engines too until I had a look at the Zed.... Way too much going on there. I'll leave anything more than an oil change to the experts.

I'll post a pic when I work out how.

David

welcome mate, great news on you purchase, the zed engines make most mechanics scratch their heads when lifting the bonnet, but get used to them and they are a work of art, pictures are needed, its the law.

Welcome to the club Dave and if you look at the label on your seatbelt it will tell you what year it was made.

Cheers I'll do that.

Hopefully there's a picture below....

I'll get some better shots when I get the chance.

Whereabouts are you from?

Hello and welcome, whereabouts in the country are you?..........reason i ask is that a guy in Shrewsbury recently sold a na in that colour and wondering if its the same one :)

I'm in rainy Cumbria (so far the T-top seals seem to be doing their job but I'm expecting to get wet next time I go out in it)

Got mine from London, which was not exactly handy, but I had a great drive home and 29.5 mpg, which I was really happy with.

Found another pic. The rear quarter panel on this side has been painted and the colour match is not 100% but I'm happy with how it looks now compared with when I got it:

And one of my latest work in progress...

Welcome Dave, great bunch on here for both Banter and Knowledge :thumbup1:
