Not been on here for a good few years.

Basically after some help if anyone knows the whereabouts of 2 300zx details below both off road for a number of years please let me know last know whereabouts in the Walsall area.

Its a long story but years ago without naming any names I trusted a guy to do a lot of work on my 300ZX and he kept promising he would do this for me even had the money to do this work for parts it was going to be a top engined high powered Zed. Anyway about 3 years ago he relocated to walsall and took the cars with him on a trailer promising the work would get done. Anyway for the last few months I have been busy so not contacted the guy for a while but now I cannot get hold of him have no address and even tried the last place where he worked to no avail.

Anyway somebody has tried registering the cars below with the DVLA I have no option to go to the police with all this in the morning with all the details.

Black 300zx wide arch strosek kit Image wheels with one space saver wheel on registration H201KDB will be in need of some repair now as the engine was taken out also

White 300zx standard registration BCZ5904.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers Daz

You still have the logbooks?

Can you do an mot history to see if they have been put on the road at any time?

JeezD what a nightmare!! your shocking story is bizzarely similar to many of the so called "zed specialists" that sprang up over the past 10 years most on the back of genuine garages but with no money, little actual business skills and definately no morals but buckets full of spin, these characters are little more than the dodgy geezers of times gone by with a coat full of bent watches.....I hope this somehow gets resolved....fingers crossed.

I know what you mean Jeff, I too have have fallen foul of some unscrupulous folk, both on here and on e bay, (sometimes one and the same) talk about taking your money and run. Not on the same scale as dazzd, but never the less, bl@@dy hurts

I hope you get it sorted dazzd. Fingers crossed for you mate.

If you still have the v5 just report them stolen. Give police all the info you have. That's what they're there for, to catch crims.....

Hope this gets sorted mate.

There is a wide body Z project just come on Ebay. It's black with a tub style tailgate, looks like something I've seen on Z centre website at some point. I am on my phone and dont know how to cut and paste link. Car is located in studley

Cheers guys but its not its not the one on ebay it looks like a special edition standard Z but with a wide arch kit on a lot of people used to comment on it it

It has a strosek kit on it with the smoother rounded front bumper the rear tailgate panel is tinted a shade of black.

I will try and find a picture I have and put it on.

Having said that the one on ebay looks a good starter project for someone willing to finish it.

Well the date of liability (when the next road tax is due) would indicate that they are both currently taxed rather than declared SORN

That dvla status doesnt say whether its taxed or not. My mate and I were checking his sorned MercedesBenz and it said exactly the Same.

What it does mean is that they are either currently taxed, or sorned. And those dates are when the next action will need to be taken.

Thats the one I purchased and just broke......so no its not this one:no:

sorry bud I just saw it bud so no harm meant

Just a quick update for you all.

Police have been investigating and managed to find out the last address where the cars where located in Walsall they went to the address where they last seen and both cars have been removed no sign of them.

It is now being passed to West Midlands police as a crime just hope I may get them back yet fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed for you mate ,by the sounds of it you are getting closer to getting them back.Obviously the lad has been tipped off that the Zed community is on the alert for these 2 cars ,the lad must of thought that it would be best to hide them

thats worse than having batman after you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear this Dazz....

....if someone has tried to register these cars with the DVLA themselves, then has DVLA written to you as the last recorded keeper to confirm that you agree to the transfer? Also, can the police not access the DVLA's records to see just who tried to register the cars and pay him a visit?

And what of your insurance - I would presume you had the cars insured when you took them to this garage; so what happened since then?

I hate to see this kind of thing happen and I sincerely hope you are fortunate in getting your cars back; or sufficient compensation for your loss if not. Good luck Dazz,

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
