Has anybody ordered from them before? I dont have a clue how to go about ordering something in Japan.

These are LHD, other than the clock being on the left, is their any other difference? I could live with the clock on the left :)

to be honest mate it takes ten minutes with a dremmel and some patience with a bit of resin filer to get a double din surround

 

a few on here have made them and they are top notch...

 

i know someone who got a double din and the double din hole still had to be dremeled out so the head unit would go in

 

do a search im sure they are on here somewhere

Yeah, ive seen loads that have been made. I have even bought a spare to give it a go.

I'm a bit picky though so even the slightest inperfection would annoy me. Sad i know.

 

I'll give it a bash when i get a bit of spare time but i thought this would be the easiest option :)

Looking closer at the LHD version, its a different shape so that wouldnt work.

 

I've emailed Z32 zone so i'll wait n see if they can come up with anything

hardest bit is getting the finish right......lots of time sanding and smoothing the edges , the surround then needs to be painted to look factory ..it seems a satisfying thing to do ...but im like you very pickey and if its not right ill not be happy becuase i will know its not right..even the smallest blemish ..so i know where you are coming from with that :)

I considered having it carbon dipped so the finish will need to be spot on. I'll give it a go. Lots and lots of sanding i would imagine.

Z32 Zone must teh worst in teh world for buying from, some great products there too.

 

They sell to agents who you can buy through, will try and dig out the company i used to use in the US when getting stuff from them.

Yeah they sell loads of parts that ive never seen anywhere else. I'd love to get my hands on a genuine double din

My understanding is that z32 zones double din panels are still modified originals, albeit professionally done. Nissan never made double din panels themselves.

Yeah i seen that bud. For a LHD though and i believe the surround is a slightly different shape. I have asked if they would make a RHD version though :)

Doh! Thinking about it, it was this thread that bought that one to my attention haha! If you can put up with the clock on the wrong side everything else will fit as long fit the gubbins from a rhd one according to the vid on that site.

Ace. I can live with that. I'll likely be replacing the clock with a Profec EBC so will give the passenger something to play with lol
