Hi Dave, I've just had my renewal through and it now states that my car is not covered for theft or mallicious damage between the hours of 10pm-6am if it IS parked at or near my home?????

What's that about?

I'm about to stick some modifications on so I'll need to phone up for a re-quote anyway...but if I'm not covered for theft at night time at my own home then there's not much point to be honest

Geez one would hope any car is somewhat more safer at the owners home than left in some side street or a car park somewhere obscure!

I have the same policy, car is meant to be in a garage between 10pm-6am for it to be covered when at home. Different when your are away from home though.

correct it does actually stipulate this.

Insurance company policy is a strange area, I had my Triumph stag stolen from outside my home and got paid out but they wouldn't insure me again, if it had been parked 100yds down the road they would have!!!
