Google corvette hidden number plate. You can get two realty good kits from the states. One manual and one motorised. Also you'll see them on YouTube.

Sorry can't help with how, but for sure someone has done it on here and posted pics etc before.

Be about 2 years ago perhaps, so a bit of a long search, but you should find it.

I believe you can have a smaller than standard plate on your car if it does not have European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (i.e. it's a Jap, Australian, US etc. import), and the vehicle's construction/ design cannot accomodate a standard sized number plates (query how this would be interpreted in court).

Assuming you can satisfy the two limbs of the above test, you can have a number plate with a minimum of:

Character height- 64mm

Character width- (except the figure 1 or letter I) 44mm

Character stroke- 10mm

Space between characters- 10mm

Space between groups- 30 mm

Top, bottom and side margins- 11 mm

Space between vertical lines- 13 mm

(i.e. motorbike size)

Otherwise it's a minimum of:

Character height- 79 mm

Character width- (except the figure 1 or letter I) 50 mm

Character stroke- 14 mm

Space between characters- 11 mm

Space between groups- 33 mm

Top, bottom and side margins- 11 mm

Space between vertical lines- 19 mm

Note that, providing you have the 11mm margin round the outside of the plate, and the characters are properly formatted and spaced, the physical plate can be as small as you like (hence those gay cut out ones you see advertised sometimes).

The font is also closely controlled on numberplates made after 31.8.2001 (a problem if your car has been made or imported after this date). British Standard BS AU 145d requires the plate to have the requisite level of reflectiveness, and to have the postcode etc. of the manufacturer printed on it (which is why Halfords, for example, are twitchy about printing you illegal plates).

The rules on size vary slightly for plates fitted before 1 September 2001, but it's not worth worrying about these details (see date of import point above).

both of them do not hide the number plate only just flip it so the Reg can not be seen .... ...

i want to Hide the Complete plate so it can not be seen

Dependant on what your new bumper is like, could you not fit the speedflipper horizontally and recessed up within the bumper. That way leaving the switch on all the time would mean the number plate is viewable when you have the ignition on and disappears whenever you park up.

See I was sort of correct, didn't realise you had to flick it with your finger to make it cum........erm down

Ayup Mark , i ended up using a rear wiper motor off a little jap car with an arm welded to the shaft , tried a metal geared high torque large servo but it just didn,t quite have enough power and thought about using a linear actuator but they were a bit pricey .

Here,s a vid of the mechanism .HTH
