il just need to see as i need the car back on the road asoon as for work..will hopefully be picking up an n/a engine on sunday

In all honesty it'd probably be cheaper and a shot load easyer to just buy a tt, bung a new n/a engine in there probably not that expensive and you could give it a full overhaul whilst its out

yes thats what im thinking

sounds like big end bearings knock ... ... Pull the engine and fit new ones u be on the rd again m8

Zhoodyx, don't listen to em! Swapping to a TT ain't cheap and it ain't easy! Trust me!

I had an NA which will be a TT very very soon. The car is in Glasgow at the mo, I'd be happy to show you what's involved.

If you have plenty time and a decent budget, go for it. Otherwise I would stick with an NA. You will prob get the engine for next to nothing and it would drop straight in

dissagree. if baz can do it anyone can

Lol! I ain't saying it impossible. But it ain't as straightforward as people make out. Plus, with a TT there is way too much temptation to spend spend spend :)

there speaks the cool calm voice of reason.

with experience to back up his opinion..

Faulty NA engine..... unplug everything. Label each item/connection.....remove engine..... Buy replacement engine... fit... reconnect as per labels... SIMPLES.... and cost effective.

man i feel for ya. must be gutted.

will it not be cheaper / easier to just swap out the bottom end?
