as a member of our group missed out on a good deal i could have helped him on because he didnt know i could do it lol, i thought i would start a thread where if anyone feels they have a skill or access to a service that may be useful to others, they could post the details here :-) i shall begin.....

 

before i go on i will just say that any tools or whatever i can source for people would be sold at cost price, no profit for me, so hopefully i can do this without being a trader on here, mods, if im wrong please dont hesitate to let me know!!!

 

I work as a Parts manager for a new holland dealership, so i can source parts for many machines, ranging from Huge Combine harvesters down to chainsaws. this also means i can get hold of batteries etc and all manner of workshop accesories and tools. i have accounts with Draper, sparex, SIP, to name a few. http://www.malpastractors.co.uk/ is the site which will show a lot of what i can sort. as i said, anything you need that i source through my work would be at cost price :-)

 

I know my way round computers pretty well too, much better than cars lol!!!! so if you ever have any pc relates problems, please feel free to give me shout, i usuallly have at least two computers in for repair from family and friends lol, and as ever, no charge.

 

i think the only other skill i have to offer is that i used to fit Ice installs for a living, none of the fancy builds i might add!!! im not that creative lol, but if its standard gear then i can offer some assistance, but im sure many folk can :-)

I am mechanically inept and had to flag down a fire engine when I tried to mess with electrics.

My son dropped my wifes little compaq netbook, it would just loop when turned on after that. I then from internet info deleted stuff in a long process and it now works again but as lost all pictures, etc, most of the stuff that was on it.

 

There is nothing on it that I can see much less than mine as we have the same, but it says low or critical disc space, she cannot do what she wants on it because of this, mine as plenty of space.

 

Can you help with this Rob as I am sure there is something hidden somewhere that we cannot find :biggrin:

Well despite my current job in the motor trade i'm actually a carpet fitter, tiler and flooring specialist. Got NVQ level 2 in all three. I can plaster too but i'm not qualified lol

never heard of having to delete anytihgn after physical trauma to a laptop?? or am i misunderstanding you? your pictures will probrably still be recoverable unless the hard drive is properly hooped lol

Don't know how much use it'll be to anyone on here but I'm a nvq 3 trained lift engineer so I'm pretty good with wiring, wireing diagrams and soldering. I pretty much turn my hand to anything involving heavy machinery tbh, oh and I have an a level in carpentry but haven't really done it for years lol

im a paint techy, I respray cars, trucks, vans, Anything really, qualified too, also im pretty handy with mechanics. been building cars all my life, im all my friends and familys go to guy for anything mechanical that needs fixing, i havent got a booth or anywhere to spray but if you have a big garage id be more than happy to come and do any work for ya, paint or mechanical. im also in the process of starting a wheel refurb business so i should be in the traders section soonish. but i can advise on that.

 

Im also pretty good at fixing playstation 3s and 360's. no probs.

First job was cow milker and muck spreader, then I decided to progress after 18 months at 3am wakeup calls.

My wife ran this at the time and all she as done is get more and more annoyed at her laptop, she just does not go on it, I have the same identical one and I have no bother, she just as no space and as far as I can see as far far less on her pc than me :mad2:

 

Below is the screenshot you asked for Rob and my hope is you or anyone else can help and make sense of it. She cannot delete as access is denied but yet cannot open anything on these pics, movies and music are just not there, just an imprint is showing on this spacesniffer :hammer:

 

She still clings onto the fact that she can get her pics back but I fear they are gone for good, I have suggest doing a drive wipe and starting again. We don't know anyone local who we trust to help us or else it would of gone to them. Anyway it is worth a shot posting here and I am sorry for the quality of the pics, thank you.

 

EDIT: Pictures now removed as I have deleted a partition and done a fresh install of the same XP Home, seems to of done the trick....wife is now pleased so happy happy days

I'm an electrician and a damn good one. I'm pretty good with car electronics too. I'm in south Dorset so if anyone needs any electrical work, help or advice just ask.
