29, no NCB, half decent area, only a named driver on another car, alloys included, 3k a year, 35 days EU cover, full AA, all convictions (even though from 9 years ago, they asked), £204.86!!!

6 years working on her, and in a couple of days, I'll actually be able to drive her, so say I am chuffed is the understatement of the year, I've had 3 sex wees already :) :) :)

I just cant understand insurance co's. I think they pluck numbers out the sky.

Footman James quoted me over a grand if i recall rightly. 28, 8 yrs no claims, no points, NA. Alloys and bodykit

Good to hear matey. Normally works out the other way where people are being stung!

I can't believe it either, she asked me about convictions in the last 5 years, nope, none, then asked me about last 10 years, I thought 'Oh well, here we go.....', then came back with that price, and, I was completely honest about everything, didn't even 'bend' the truth at all :)

One weird thing tho, is my postcode wouldn't register on her computer, even tho we both spelled it out about 10 times, and she said 'Well, the computer is never wrong with postcodes', to which I said 'Well I think it might be because I have lived there for 20 years', so she put it in manually, and it was definately correct, and if it's not right on the insurance papers, let them know, other than that, hunky dory :)

That's unreal mate, how much did you have it insured for? Fully comp? Mods declared etc?

Im with them.

£104 last year fir the zed. Gone upto £200 this year.

The GTR and M3 were both £200 with them.

I wont go anywhere else now!

Car value £3000 (poo I know, but honest), fully comp but not allowed to drive other vehicles due to the agreed milage, and wheels declared (that's the only mod), £250 excess...

Given the title of this thread....i'm going into hiding!!

I think you should Dave, why is it that someone with No NCB can get insurance cheaper than me 44, with 9+years, no convictions, live in a safe area and i still pay nearly £400 a year

NCD doesn't come into it with classic insurance. I don't know whey yours has come out more expensive. Are you limiting your miles to the same level? Is your value the same? Modifications? Access to another vehicle?

Awwww you making me a cake? :p

Miles limited to 5k per year, mods declared ( Alloys, Exhaust etc) its an N/A so no power mods as such, access to another vehicle value 5k.

The only obvious differences are in the mileage and the value so i'm guessing that's what is making the difference. I'm surprised it's that much different though

i cant get insurance with FMJ as i have to many mods on my car according to the dude on the phone. but i did get quoted 310 @ 5k miles per year if it was standard lol

FJ has certainly come up with the goods for a lot of us this year - and that's great news......

....if only I had waited another day I'd have got mine for £50 less from FJ; but I was getting anxious as my ZX insurance has expired by a day and I didn't want to risk the garage falling down on it; LOL. There's always next year I suppose!!

Richard:oops:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Both my zeds are UK models which does make a big difference even though theres no difference with a jap model really

Hi Dave@FJ, I'm trying to get a quote on my 300zx through Footman James, given the quotes on here it seems a good idea, but I can't get any quotes because mine is a 1994. I saw mentioned on another post that you had changed the quote definition to include all 300's regardless of age. If so, how do I get hold of someone that knows this? Kind regards, Freddie.

Have you phoned the office and they've refused it? If so can you PM me your surname and postcode and i'll kick their arse for them! If not call 0121 561 6250 and if there's any doubt over it ask to speak to Laura Jones

Hi Davenpo, thanks for replying. I phoned but I'll try again and ask to speak to Laura if there is any trouble. Cheers!
