take the fuel pump fuse out (small box in the engine bay, 30amp should be marked on the top of the box) crank the engine to release some of the pressure build up in the fuel line, it will still have pressure but not much so watch for spillage when you take it off, the filter holds quite a bit fuel so stick something over it to stop loosing loads of fuel, and bung it back into the tank. but other than that, quick and easy.

 

Oh and when finished, just remember to put the fuel pump fuse back in.

i take it out at night as added protection from thieving scum bags, not something they carry in their bag of tricks lol. ive forgotten to stick the thing in before and wondered why i couldn't start the damn car. `

its always the small things that bugger us..lol

 

well so far list of simple things that i really should of checked first lol

 

Fuse in the foot well for the gearbox not working, my fix, replace gearbox before fuse lol

 

Cant start car, solution, put it in P instead of leaving it in D

 

Cant start car 2, solution, put 30amp fuse back in fuse box in engine bay lol

 

Silly but simple things. just proves how my head has been lol

hey man we all suffer from brainfarts now and again

today in my haste in wanting to see how it sounded with the new mani's i started it up..was runing like crap...forgot to plug the o2 sensors in didnt i..worst of all i spent 15-20 mins checking everything but

unplugged 02's wouldn't make it run like crap, ive got both mine disconnected as i need to replace my drivers side, so ive unplugged both to give me a base reading instead of the engine doing dodgy things trying to compensate for one being dodgy

Good one I did was couldn't figure out why my key wouldn't release from the ignition, it happened as I sat parked with the ignition running for 20 min chatting to my sister then just turned the ignition off !

 

Took me 20 min to figure out I left the auto box in neutral.

lol, i still think my changing a gearbox before the fuse is going to take some beating

unless somone has tryed to start theyr car with the wrong key n wonderd why its not bloody going in
