Rear shocks is there a difference between n/s and o/s?

Featured Replies

I would of said they are the same. its just the fronts that are handed because of the brake pipes and abs etc :)

Cool, will wait for few more replies b4 I accept Z32bolts kind offer of one and just cover postage. Any idea on weight of one? so I can arrange parcel2go to collect it?

Just the shock on its own about 3kg and say 6kg with the spring etc. I know the teins i took off the rear are the same as were the new coilovers that went on. so you will be fine :)

To fit its just 3 13mm nuts at the top and one 16mm bolt underneth, off the top of my head the sizes are right lol!

Replied in your other post, but the rears are the same, you may need to rotate the top mounts if fitted from another side. As Dave said fronts are handed for the brake pipes.

personaly with any suspension component i would replace both sides....worn and mismatched items can lead to really strange handling effects especialy if you are pushing it hard ......best match up as equally as possible . OMO

Female in distress after Whitney death....dont really care if mot it b4 it runs out, lifes too short, but would like to get it sorted...but **** it in certain circumstances...whitney was one of my top artist...gutted...

Note that UK TT type rears are different from import version. They have an electronic actuator that switches a valve inside to change the setting from soft to hard. You can replace with the stock cheaper import versions and leave the actuators disconnected.
