Some Z32 cars, like mine, have the worn out black covering removed, to reveal a lovely polished aluminium finish, on the windscreen & targa roof side strips.

I think this looks great & more in keeping with today's look.

Now, has anyone done this to the black & rubber strips, under each side window ?

Again, I think this could look very cool.

Many new cars, like the Jaguar XJ, have this look.

What do you guys think ?

ewwwww no way no way lol!!!! Black all the way. I think the ones along the top of the doors are just steal and start to rust once exposed.

+1

My vert had chrome on the windsceen trims when I 1st bought it and loved the `Audi` look, there were a few stone chips that i had sprayed out and the silly cock sprayed over the chrome and its now black, IMO they look better chrome, but deffo depends what colour the cars is, mines black by the way, may look crap on other colours.... but i would`nt want chrome around the doors :)

A lot of Bmw's come with the chrome trim...BUT, when you buy the Sports spec or the M-spec, they are Black !

In most cases the chrome look just looks dated.

Seen a lot of Z's with the black stripped back to chrome look, and it looks terrible imo

Mine where chrome when I got it, had them sprayed black very quickly.. in my opinion it looks much better...

Yup - I agree also......

....same with the new Jags. Chrome just doesn't do it for me unless it's on an old classic like an E-type or DB5

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

You say that rich but I saw a mgbgt other day the chrome all removed and powder coated satin black very very smart looking

I can believe that mate - despite what the purists think, the black bumper MGB GT of the mid 1970s did not look that bad......:innocent:

I meant I think that chrome should stay in that era, and not festoon modern cars!

Crome has its place, and thats not on a zed.on a classic car from the 1930's to the late 70,s yes but not on our cars

Black for me... my pearl white Z has chrome trims which strangely suit it, but black on the black one.
